Many members of our team have been here for over a decade or more. What sets Messner Flooring apart is that every one of us is truly dedicated to ensuring that you have the best experience – every step of the way!
Ted Messner has been working for his family company, Messner Flooring since 2003, and became a full-time employee in 2013. Throughout his tenure, he has managed both commercial bid work and negotiated contracts, with a particular focus on nonprofit projects. Ted values working with long-term clients, as it allows him to build lasting relationships, understand their needs deeply, and connect with them on a personal level. Outside the office, Ted enjoys hiking with his wife Candace and their two dogs, Mick and Maddy.
Lisa joined the Messner Flooring team in 2004, and handles everything from health plans to payroll. Lisa manages the office, pays bills, manages payroll, and handles additional HR responsibilities. Lisa helps the Messner Flooring team with health and life insurance, the IRA plan, and more. Lisa is proud to work for Messner Flooring. She says, “I’m glad we’re an ethical company, and that we put out a good product and do good work. I’m proud of our great reputation. And I enjoy helping our employees.”
Doug is one of our commercial project managers who has 25 years’ experience in the flooring industry. He keeps our crews well prepared and on schedule. He enjoys being a part of a small family business, that cares about the community and all the jobs we work on, big or small. Not only is he a great father to two amazing girls, but some may also consider him scratch golfer and bocce connoisseur.
Sam came aboard full time in 2023 after interning for a few summers. He manages all materials that come in and out of the warehouse for commercial jobs. He has a forward-thinking mindset and is always generating ideas for a more efficient process. He takes pride in the work he doe and enjoys collaborating with all members of the team, in the office, and on the golf course.
A proud member of our warehouse staff, James is our stain master. Supporting Rick, he keeps the warehouse organized and clean. He accurately cuts carpet and pad daily, for residential and commercial jobs. James has been working in the warehouse industry since 2005 and started with the Messner team in summer 2021. Occasionally making deliveries, James enjoys being able to make connections with our contractors and customers.
Peter Messner, former President of Messner Flooring, dedicated over 40 years to the company, shaping it into a leader in commercial and retail flooring. Starting in 1977 as his father Ben Messner’s first employee, he gained hands-on experience in estimating, project management, and operations. By the mid-80s, he took over business operations, and in 1987, after his father’s passing, he purchased the company, leading it through decades of growth.
Under Peter’s leadership, Messner Flooring thrived, maintaining its commitment to quality craftsmanship and customer service. His impact continues to influence the company’s success today.
