Gravyboat is the solo project of Portsmouth musician Sam Cutbush. After years spent in well-established bands such as Foxer, Dead Witches, Sabres and Funeral Witch Blues, Sam wanted to see what music he produced almost entirely on his own would sound like.

Eternal Pessimist is an honest title of an honest EP in a glass-half-empty world, aiming to flip the narrative for the listener.

‘It’s Not Me It’s You’ is the 2nd single from Jodie Vinall & Noodle Beard & is the perfect follow up to their debut release on Mayfield Records ‘Now I’ve Got Me’.

Both ‘It’s Not Me It’s You’ & ‘Now I’ve Got Me’ have both been selected for BBC Music Introducing on BBC Radio Solent.

‘Anxiety’ is the debut release from Brooke on Mayfield Records which has already received pre-release airplay on BBC Introducing. This is a remarkable achievement, since at just 16, this is Brooke’s first ever composition. The song was written towards the end of 2023 & describes her struggle with dealing with anxiety throughout school resulting in long stretches of her being unable to attend. Since writing ‘Anxiety’ her confidence has grown & the climax should be an inspiration to us all. Well done Brooke.

‘Are You On My Side?’ is the 2nd single from Casual Scene. Their debut release ‘Pure Life’ has since amassed 3K DSP plays as well as a BBC Introducing spin.

This, their 2nd release on Mayfield Records will elevate their presence further still. ‘Are You On My Side?’ is a hugely energetic ‘banger’ of a record with catchy hooks throughout. This too gets a play this week on BBC Introducing (Solent).
