Buzz Rescue Group - Volunteer

We can't do it without you.

We are thrilled you want to volunteer with us. Our volunteers are the backbone of our rescue. We can't wait to introduce you to our organization and the team that makes it all happen. Please take a few minutes to read through the website. Learn our foster and adoption processes (no quizzes...we promise), and read the stories of the dogs whose lives have been changed through Labrador Retriever Rescue of Florida. When you're ready, please fill out our VOLUNTEER APPLICATION

Foster

Provide a temporary, loving home for rescued Labradors.

·       Feeding and daily care

·       Preparing the dog for adoption

Fosters are the foundation of LRRoF — we cannot rescue without them.

Adoption Counselor

Work with approved applicants to help match the right dog with the right family.

This is one of the most impactful — and most time-intensive — volunteer roles within LRRoF. Adoption Counselors serve as the bridge between our rescue and forever families, requiring strong communication, discernment, and follow-through.

·       Review and assess applications

·       Conduct potential virtual home visits when needed

·       Coordinate meet-and-greets

·       Guide families through the contract process

·       Communicate consistently with fosters and leadership

This role requires responsiveness, organization, sound judgment, and a meaningful time commitment to ensure safe and successful placements.
