• Money and God

This is a reminder of a timeless truth…

Money is necessary to live in this world. Food, clothing, shelter, healthcare, and education – all require money. Without money, life becomes full of struggles. That is why people work day and night to fulfill their needs.

    But remember!
Money is only for necessity, not for life.
Money is a means, but God is the true provider.

Money can give you a house, but not peace.

Money can buy medicine, but not healing.

Money can buy clothes, but not honor.

Money can bring temporary happiness, but only God gives eternal joy.

    The Bible says:
"For the love of money is the root of all evil" (1 Timothy 6:10)

Money in the Name of Service

Some people use “service” as a cover to love money. They speak the name of God with their lips, but their hearts run after wealth. Such people are not spiritual in God’s eyes.

He who loves money can never be spiritual.
The one who has greed in his heart can never be spiritual.

    Jesus said:
"No one can serve two masters. You cannot serve both God and money." (Matthew 6:24)

    The True Spiritual Person

A truly spiritual person is the one who:

    Is free from greed.

Does not place money in the position of God.

Walks in God’s commandments and loves His people.

Serves with sincerity, not with selfish ambition.

Stores up treasures in heaven, not on earth.

    Jesus said:
"Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth… but store up for yourselves treasures in heaven." (Matthew 6:19-20)

    Light and Darkness

A greedy person walks in darkness,
But the one who loves God walks in the light.

    Jesus said:
"What good will it be for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul?" (Matthew 16:26)

May God give us wisdom to use money only according to our needs, never make it an idol, never turn service into a means of wealth, and surrender our lives to the Lord Jesus Christ – the One who gives true peace and eternal salvation.

    Theme: True Riches, True Harvest
    Series: Kingdom Living

    Scripture:
“Then he said to them, ‘Watch out! Be on your guard against all kinds of greed; life does not consist in an abundance of possessions.’” — Luke 12:15 (NIV)

    Devotional Message: Fruitfulness Beyond Possessions
Jesus reminds us that real life is not about how many things we own, but about living with purpose in Him. Sometimes we think fruitfulness means having more money, more things, or more recognition. But true fruitfulness is about the kind of harvest that touches eternity—joy, peace, love, and lives changed.

Greed makes people chase after things that never satisfy. But when we focus on God, He makes our lives fruitful in ways that possessions cannot. Your harvest is not measured by your barns, but by your impact and the lives you bless.

True harvest is about being rich toward God—using your time, talents, and treasures to glorify Him. That is where lasting fruitfulness comes from, and that is the kind of harvest no one can take away from you.

    1. Life Is More Than Things
“What good will it be for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul?” (Matthew 16:26)
Fruitfulness begins with eternal values, not temporary gains.

    2. God Supplies Our Needs
“And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:19)
When you trust God, your harvest is secure in Him.

    3. True Harvest Is Spiritual
“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness…” (Galatians 5:22)
The best harvest is what the Spirit grows inside you.

    4. Be Rich Toward God
“This is how it will be with whoever stores up things for themselves but is not rich toward God.” (Luke 12:21)
Invest in God’s kingdom for a harvest that never fades.

    Today’s Reminder:
Your life’s value is not in what you own, but in the fruit you bear for God’s kingdom.

    Prayer Point:
    Father,
Thank You for teaching me that life is more than possessions. Guard my heart from greed, and help me to live fruitful for You. Let my harvest be rich in love, joy, and kingdom impact. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

    ๐Ÿ—ฃ Declaration of Faith:
    I am rich in Christ.
My life is fruitful in eternal things.
My harvest is secure in God’s hands.
