Money and God
This is a reminder of a timeless truth…
Money is necessary to live in this world. Food, clothing, shelter, healthcare, and education – all require money. Without money, life becomes full of struggles. That is why people work day and night to fulfill their needs.
But remember!
Money is only for necessity, not for life.
Money is a means, but God is the true provider.
Money can give you a house, but not peace.
Money can buy medicine, but not healing.
Money can buy clothes, but not honor.
Money can bring temporary happiness, but only God gives eternal joy.
The Bible says:
"For the love of money is the root of all evil" (1 Timothy 6:10)
Money in the Name of Service
Some people use “service” as a cover to love money. They speak the name of God with their lips, but their hearts run after wealth. Such people are not spiritual in God’s eyes.
He who loves money can never be spiritual.
The one who has greed in his heart can never be spiritual.
Jesus said:
"No one can serve two masters. You cannot serve both God and money." (Matthew 6:24)
The True Spiritual Person
A truly spiritual person is the one who:
Is free from greed.
Does not place money in the position of God.
Walks in God’s commandments and loves His people.
Serves with sincerity, not with selfish ambition.
Stores up treasures in heaven, not on earth.
Jesus said:
"Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth… but store up for yourselves treasures in heaven." (Matthew 6:19-20)
Light and Darkness
A greedy person walks in darkness,
But the one who loves God walks in the light.
Jesus said:
"What good will it be for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul?" (Matthew 16:26)
May God give us wisdom to use money only according to our needs, never make it an idol, never turn service into a means of wealth, and surrender our lives to the Lord Jesus Christ – the One who gives true peace and eternal salvation.
