Colossians 3:12-17 Therefore, as the elect of God holy and beloved, put on tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, longsuffering,
bearing with one another, and forgiving one another, if anyone has a complaint against another, even as Christ forgave you, so you also must do.
But above all these things put on love, which is the bond of perfection.
And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body, and be thankful.
Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.
And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.
1 Peter 1:1-12 PETER, an apostle of Jesus Christ, To the pilgrims of the Dispersion in Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia,
elect according to the fore-knowledge of God the Father, in sanctification of the Spirit, for obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ; Grace to you and peace be multiplied.
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant mercy has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,
To an inheritance incorruptible and undefiled and that does not fade away, reserved in heaven for you,
who are kept by the power of God through faith for salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.
In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while, if need be, you have been grieved by various trials,
that the genuineness of your faith, being much more precious than gold that perishes, though it is tested by fire, may be found to praise, honor, and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ,
whom having not seen you love. Though now you do not see Him, yet believing, you rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory,
Receiving the end of your faith–the salvation of your souls.
Of this salvation the prophets have inquired and searched carefully, who prophesied of the grace that would come to you,
searching what, or what manner of time, the Spirit of Christ who was in them was indicating when He testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ and the glories that would follow.
To them it was revealed that, not to themselves, but to us they were ministering the things which now have been reported to you through those who have preached the gospel to you by the Holy spirit sent from heaven–things which angels desire to look into.
Mark 11:25-26 “And wherever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him, that your Father in heaven may also forgive you your trespasses.
“But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father in heaven forgive your trespasses.”
Ephesians 4:1-10 I, therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you to walk worthy of the calling with which you were called,
with all lowliness and gentleness, with longsuffering, bearing with one another in love,
endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.
    There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called in one hope of your calling;
    one Lord, one faith, one baptism;
one God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, in you all.
But to each one of us was given according to the measure of Christ's gift.
Therefore He says; "When He ascended on high, He led captivity captive, And gave gifts to men,"
(Now this, "He ascended"--what does it mean but that He also first descended into the lower parts of the earth?
He who descended is also the One who ascended far above all the heavens, that He might fill all things.)
1 Peter 4:7-11 But the end of all things is at hand; therefore be serious and watchful in your prayers.
And above all things have fervent love for one another, for "love will cover a multitude of sins."
Be hospitable to one another without grumbling.
As each one has received a gift, minister it to one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God,
If anyone speaks, let him speak as the oracles of God. If anyone ministers, let him do it as with the ability which God supplies, that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belong the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.
1 Corinthians 7:10-16 Now to the married I command, yet not I but the Lord; A wife is not to depart from her husband.
But even if she does depart, let her remain unmarried or be reconciled to her husband. and a husband is not to divorce his wife.
But to the rest, I, not the Lord, say; if any brother has a wife who does not believe, and she is willing to live with him, let him not divorce her.
And a woman who has a husband who does not believe, if he is willing to live with her, let her not divorce him.
For the unbelieving husband is sanctified by the wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified by the husband; otherwise your children would be unclean, but now they are holy.
But if the unbeliever departs, let him depart; a brother or sister is not under bondage in such cases. But God has called us to peace.
For how do you know, O wife, whether you will save your husband? Or how do you know, O husband, whether you will save your wife?
Ephesians 5:15-21 See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise,
redeeming the time, because the days are evil.
Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is.
And do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation; but be filled with the Spirit,
speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord,
giving thanks always for all things to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ,
submitting to one another in the fear of god.

    Philippians 2:12-18 Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but know much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling;
for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure.
Do all things without complaining and disputing,
that you may become blameless and harmless, children of God without fault in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world,

    STORACALS OF PROPHECY # 18

Hello friends, family, and my brothers, and sisters in Christ.

    This is Brother Johnny Gass.

    Welcome to Bible study.

Study to show thyself to approved unto God, a Workman unashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. 2 Timothy 2:15

Please share these lessons with everyone you know for the expansion of the kingdom of God.

Windows of Heaven: The Basics and Blessings of Tithing

Jacob had never felt so destitute and alone -- and it was all because he had been devious and greedy. First Jacob had bribed Esau, his elder twin, into selling his birthright. Then, with his mother's help, he tricked his blind father, Isaac, into giving him the paternal blessing that rightfully belonged to Esau. Now Jacob was fleeing from home, partly to escape the murderous threats of his offended brother. He bowed his head and cried when he thought of how all his grasping plans had backfired. Alone in the wilderness, with only a stone for a pillow and a stick for protection, Jacob tried to rest. He wondered if he would ever see his parents again and if God would forgive him. Exhausted, Jacob drifted off to sleep. Soon he found himself bathed in the brilliant glow of a vivid dream. He saw a blazing light streaming from the open heavens, with a beautiful stairway spanning from the glory above to the earth below. There were countless shimmering angels traveling up and down this ladder. Then Jacob heard the Lord speak from heaven and promise to bless him in his journey. The Lord also confirmed with Jacob the same covenant He had made with Abraham and Isaac. When he awoke, Jacob fell on his knees and made a vow to abandon his greedy ways. He promised, "Of all that thou shalt give me I will surely give the tenth unto thee." Genesis 28:22. God accepted this vow and opened the windows of heaven so that when Jacob returned home 20 years later, he had become a very prosperous and generous man.

    1. Where did Jacob learn the concept of returning a tenth to God?

Genesis 14:18, 20. And Melchizedek ... was the priest of the most high God. ... And he Abubakar Taju gave him ______ of all.

    Answer : ____________________

NOTE: Tithe is one-tenth of a person's income. In fact, the word "tithe" simply means "a tenth." Jacob's grandfather, Abraham, set an example many years earlier by giving a tithe to God's priest, Melchizedek.

    2. What portion of our income belongs to God?

Leviticus 27:30. All the ______ ... is the Lord's: it is holy unto the Lord.

    Answer : ____________________

NOTE: Technically, 100 percent of all we have belongs to God.

Psalms 24:1 The earth is the Lord's, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.

But God asks us to acknowledge that we believe it all belongs to Him by returning a tithe, or 10 percent of our increase.

    3. What does God do with our tithe?

Numbers 18:21, 24. I have given the children of ____ all the tenth in Israel for an inheritance, for their service which they serve. ... The tithes of the children of Israel, ... I have given to the __________tes to inherit.

1 Corinthians 9:13, 14 Do ye not know that they which minister about holy things live of the things of the temple? and they which wait at the altar are partakers with the altar? Even so hath the Lord ordained that they which preach the gospel should live of the gospel.

    Answer : ____________________

NOTE: In the Old Testament, God directed that the tithe be used to support the Levites, who were His ministers. In 1 Corinthians 9:13, God says that just as the priests of old were paid from the tithe of the temple, so gospel ministers today should be paid from tithe given through the church.

    4. Is the tithing system part of Moses' old law, which ended at the cross?

Genesis 28:20, 22. And Jacob vowed a vow, saying, ... of all that thou shalt __________ me I will surely ____ the tenth unto thee.

    Answer : ____________________

NOTE: No! Both Abraham and Jacob gave a tenth of their income to God long before Moses' law was given. Because it pre-dated Sinai, we know that it was not part of the ceremonial law that ended at the cross. The law of tithing is God's plan for support of the ministry, and it remains in effect today.

    5. But didn't Jesus condemn the tithing plan?

Matthew 23:23. Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithes of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ____ ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone.

    Answer : ____________________

NOTE: No. Jesus saw that the miserly Pharisees were counting out individual leaves and tiny seeds for tithe instead of taking it to the temple by the bushel. Therefore He rebuked them for being so exact in tithe while failing in judgment, mercy, and faith. He did not condemn them for tithing, but for ignoring the other great principles of Christianity. That is why Jesus said, "These ought ye to have done [speaking of tithing], and not to leave the other undone."

    6. What amazing promise does God make about tithing?

Malachi 3:10. Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, ... and _____ me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.

    Answer : ____________________

NOTE: God is saying: "If you are doubtful, try tithing as an experiment. Test Me, and see if I won't return to you a blessing too vast for you to receive." Hundreds of thousands of tithepayers will tell you that it is true. You cannot out-give God!

    7. God tells His people to bring all of the tithe into the storehouse. What does that mean?

Nehemiah 13:12. Then brought all Judah the tithe of the corn and the new wine and the oil unto the ___________.

    Answer : ____________________

NOTE: The storehouse is the treasury of God's church. (The Bible margin equates "treasuries" with "storehouses".) In Malachi 3:10, God refers to the storehouse as "mine house," which means His church, or temple. Other texts that refer to the storehouse as the temple, or temple treasury, are 1 Chronicles 9:26 (see margin); 2 Chronicles 31:11, 12 (see margin); and Nehemiah 10:37, 38. So it is obvious that the storehouse is God's church treasury.

    8. When we tithe, who really receives our money?

Colossians 3:23. And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the ______, and not unto men.

Hebrews 7:8 And here men that die receive tithes; but there he Gábor Muzslai receiveth them.

    Answer : ____________________

NOTE: We need to always remember that we are not returning our tithe to people, but to God. It belongs to Him. We need not worry about how the tithe is used if we give it to God. He is big enough to take care of His own money and to properly handle anyone who may be irresponsible in managing His funds.

    9. In addition to my tithe, which belongs to God, what else does He ask of His people?

Psalms 96:8. Bring an ________, and come into his courts.

Malachi 3:8 Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and __________s.

    Answer : ____________________

NOTE: The Lord asks us to give freewill offerings as an expression of our love for Him and our thanksgiving for His blessings.

    10. How much should we give as offerings?

2 Corinthians 9:7. Every man according as he purposeth in his _____, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.

    Answer : ____________________

NOTE: The Bible does not set a specific amount. Each person decides how much to give for freewill offerings, as God impresses.

    11. What test did Adam and Eve fail that we must pass if we expect to inherit God's kingdom?

Genesis 3:3. But of the fruit of the ____ which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.

    Answer : ____________________

NOTE: God told Adam and Eve they could eat the fruit of all the trees of the garden except one--the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. They were not to eat of that tree or even touch it, else they would die. God did not put an electric fence around the tree. Rather, He kept it where they could reach out and take the fruit. And they did, because they did not trust God. Today, God gives us all the same test. He says, "You can keep all the money that comes to you, except one tenth. That money is Mine. Don't take it." However, He leaves it where we can reach out and take it, if we so desire. But when we do, we repeat the sin of Adam and Eve.
God did not need the fruit of the special tree. It was a test of their loyalty. Neither does He need our tithe. He owns everything! It is a test of our love, loyalty, and trust

    12. What commandment are we breaking when we refuse to return tithes and offerings to God?

Exodus 20:15. Thou shalt not _____.

Malachi 3:8 Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings.

    Answer : ____________________

NOTE: God says those who are knowingly unfaithful in tithes and offerings are robbers. It is bad enough when men steal from one another, but it is a terrifying thought that people would dare to steal from God! It is also hard to believe that people would stoop so low as to steal money that God has designated for spreading the gospel to the lost.

    13. What does God say will happen to those who knowingly rob Him of tithe and offerings?

Malachi 3:9. Ye are ______ with a curse: for ye have robbed me, even this whole nation.

1 Corinthians 6:10 Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.

    Answer : ____________________

NOTE: Those who are not faithful in tithes and offerings are cursed, and unless they change, they will be shut out of God's kingdom as thieves.

    14. Why is covetousness so dangerous?

Luke 12:34. For where your ________ is, there will your heart be also.

    Answer : ____________________

NOTE: Covetousness is lethal because our hearts follow our investments. If my focus is on accumulating more and more money, my heart becomes covetous, grasping, and proud. But if my focus is on advancing God's work, my heart becomes caring, loving, liberal, and humble. Our hearts inevitably follow our treasure. We must never forget that it was Judas' greed and love for money that led him to betray Jesus for 30 pieces of silver (Matthew 26:14-16).

    15. How do you suppose Jesus feels when we rob Him of tithes and offerings?

Hebrews 3:10. Wherefore I was _______ with that generation, and said, They do always err in their heart.

    Answer : ____________________

NOTE: Jesus probably feels much as a parent would whose child steals money from his wallet. Losing the money is not the big thing. Rather, it is the child's lack of integrity, love, and trust that is deeply disappointing. Surely none of us want to grieve the heart of our Saviour.

    16. What other Bible principles does God share in regard to giving?

2 Corinthians 8:5. They ... first gave their own ______ to the Lord.

Proverbs 3:9 Honour the Lord with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase.

Proverbs 11:24, 25 There is that scattereth, and yet increaseth; and there is that witholdeth more than is meet, but it tendeth to poverty. The liberal soul shall be made fat: and he that watereth shall be watered also himself.

Acts 20:35 It is more blessed to give than to receive.

Luke 12:21 He that layeth up treasure for himself ... is not rich toward God.

Luke 6:38 Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom.

1 Corinthians 16:2 Let every one of you lay by him in store, as God hath prospered him.

Deuteronomy 16:17 Every man shall give as he is able, according to the blessing of the Lord thy God which he hath given thee.

    Answer : ____________________

NOTE: Nine-tenths of my income with God's blessing will go much further than ten-tenths without it. Incidentally, when God opens the windows of heaven, His blessings are not always financial. They may include such things as good health, peace of mind, answered prayers, protection, a close-knit and loving family, physical strength, ability to make wise decisions, a closer walk with Jesus, success in soul-winning, an old car kept running, etc. If we truly love Jesus, giving sacrificially for His work will never be a burden. Rather, it is a blessing--a glorious privilege that we will perform with great joy and satisfaction.

    17. What did the ladder that Jacob saw in his dream represent?

John 1:51. Hereafter ye shall see heaven open, and the angels of God ascending and descending upon the ____ of man.

    Answer : ____________________

NOTE: Jacob saw a ladder that bridged heaven with earth, which symbolized the Son of man. In Malachi 3:10, God says that if we bring all the tithes into the storehouse, He will open for us the windows of heaven and pour out a blessing we can barely receive! Jesus is that blessing.

    18. What is the greatest gift we can give to Jesus?

My son, give me thine ______, and let thine eyes observe my ways.

Mark 7:6 This people honoureth me with their lips, but their __________ is far from me.

    Answer : ____________________

NOTE: When Jesus has our hearts, He has everything else too.

    19. When we are faithful in tithes and offerings, Jesus becomes our partner in everything we attempt in life. Are you willing to invite Him to be your partner by returning tithes and giving offerings?

STORACALS OF PROPHECY # 18 STORACALS OF PROPHECY # 18 Hello friends, family, and my brothers, and sisters in Christ. This is Brother Johnny Gass. Welcome to Bible study. Study to show thyself to approved unto God, a Workman unashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. 2 Timothy 2:15 Please share these lessons with everyone you know for the expansion of the kingdom of God. Windows of Heaven: The Basics and Blessings of Tithing Jacob had never felt so destitute and alone -- and it was all because he had been devious and greedy. And Melchizedek ... was the priest of the most high God. ... And he [Abraham] gave him ______ of all. Answer : ____________________ NOTE: Tithe is one-tenth of a person's income. Answer : ____________________ NOTE: Technically, 100 percent of all we have belongs to God. Answer : ____________________ NOTE: In the Old Testament, God directed that the tithe be used to support the Levites, who were His ministers. Answer : ____________________ NOTE: No! Answer : ____________________ NOTE: No. That is why Jesus said, "These ought ye to have done [speaking of tithing], and not to leave the other undone." 6. Answer : ____________________ NOTE: God is saying: "If you are doubtful, try tithing as an experiment. Answer : ____________________ NOTE: The storehouse is the treasury of God's church. Hebrews 7:8 And here men that die receive tithes; but there he [Jesus] receiveth them. Answer : ____________________ NOTE: We need to always remember that we are not returning our tithe to people, but to God. Answer : ____________________ NOTE: The Lord asks us to give freewill offerings as an expression of our love for Him and our thanksgiving for His blessings. 10. How much should we give as offerings? 2 Corinthians 9:7. Every man according as he purposeth in his _____, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver. Answer : ____________________ NOTE: The Bible does not set a specific amount. Answer : ____________________ NOTE: God told Adam and Eve they could eat the fruit of all the trees of the garden except one--the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. It is a test of our love, loyalty, and trust 12. Answer : ____________________ NOTE: God says those who are knowingly unfaithful in tithes and offerings are robbers. Answer : ____________________ NOTE: Those who are not faithful in tithes and offerings are cursed, and unless they change, they will be shut out of God's kingdom as thieves. 14. Why is covetousness so dangerous? Luke 12:34. For where your ________ is, there will your heart be also. Answer : ____________________ NOTE: Covetousness is lethal because our hearts follow our investments. 15. TOPIC: REVERSING OPPORTUNITIES

    MEMORISE:
That then the LORD thy God will turn thy captivity, and have compassion upon thee, and will return and gather thee from all the nations, whither the LORD thy God hath scattered thee. - (Deuteronomy 30:3)

    BIBLE READING: JOHN 21:15-19 (KJV)

15 So when they had dined, Jesus saith to Simon Peter, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me more than these? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my lambs.

16 He saith to him again the second time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my sheep.

17 He saith unto him the third time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? Peter was grieved because he said unto him the third time, Lovest thou me?
And he said unto him, Lord, thou knowest all things; thou knowest that I love thee. Jesus saith unto him, Feed my sheep.

18 Verily, verily, I say unto thee, When thou wast young, thou girdedst thyself, and walkedst whither thou wouldest: but when thou shalt be old, thou shalt stretch forth thy hands, and another shall gird thee, and carry thee whither thou wouldest not.

19 This spake he, signifying by what death he should glorify God. And when he had spoken this, he saith unto him, Follow me.

    MESSAGE:
It is popularly said that an opportunity lost can never be regained. However, this can only be true when God decides to be silent about such opportunities. The moment God gets involved, lost opportunities can be regained.

In the 1960s, I was a games master at a school called Okeigbo/lfetedo Grammar School. The school received an invitation to participate in a competition in Akure, one of the state capitals in Western Nigeria, and I got talking with the host school's games master during the competition. Sometime later, I was admitted into the University of Lagos for my Master's degree, and I applied to the Federal Government for a scholarship. When a year passed without a response from the Federal Government, I assumed that I didn't get the scholarship, and I continued paying the fees myself. One day, while walking on the university campus, I saw the games master I had met in Akure over a year earlier. We got talking again, and he told me that he was now working with the Federal Ministry of Education. Then I said to him, "I applied for a scholarship with your ministry, and I did not get any response." He then told me that he remembered my application because I was the only one who applied for a postgraduate scholarship in mathematics. He said it was a unanimous decision to grant me the scholarship, and that the interview would have been a formality. To cut the story short, he said that he would see what he could do about it, and we parted ways. Two weeks later, I got a letter from the Federal Ministry of Education granting me a full scholarship that was backdated to the day I started my Master's programme. I decree that any good opportunity that you thought had been lost forever will be restored by the Almighty God, in Jesus' name.

In Matthew 26:69-75, Peter had the opportunity to stand for Christ; however, he lost it when he denied the Lord thrice. He was so heartbroken that he decided to return to fishing (John 21:3). However, Jesus stepped in and gave him another opportunity, as we see in today's Bible reading. After the Lord's intervention, the same man, who denied Jesus three times, boldly faced the rulers who killed the Lord and told them that he would not stop speaking about Him (Acts 4:8-13).

Beloved, have you lost valuable opportunities in the past? Ask God for mercy, and He will restore you and help you regain such opportunities.

    PRAYER POINT:
Father, please give me a second chance and restore every good opportunity I have lost, in Jesus' name.

    HYMNAL: 2 AMAZING GRACE

1 Amazing grace (how sweet the sound)
that saved a wretch like me!
I once was lost, but now am found,
was blind, but now I see.

2 'Twas grace that taught my heart to fear,
    and grace my fears relieved;
how precious did that grace appear
    the hour I first believed!

3 Through many dangers, toils and snares
    I have already come:
'tis grace has brought me safe thus far,
and grace will lead me home.

4 The Lord has promised good to me,
    his word my hope secures;
he will my shield and portion be
    as long as life endures.

5 Yes, when this flesh and heart shall fail,
    and mortal life shall cease:
I shall possess, within the veil,
a life of joy and peace.

6 The earth shall soon dissolve like snow,
    the sun forbear to shine;
but God, who called me here below,
    will be forever mine.

  • Good evening, brethren.

    1. Evening devotion for today.

    i. *DAILY WALK WITH CHRIST*
    (COCIN DEVOTIONAL)

    *DATE:*
    SATURDAY, 11TH APRIL, 2026.

    *SUB-THEME:*
    THE CROSS: CULMINATION OF GRACE.

    *TEXTS:*
    GENESIS 3:15; ROMANS 16:19-20.

    *GENESIS 3:15;*
15 I will put hostility between you and the woman, and between your offspring and her offspring. He will bruise your head, and you will bruise his heel.”
    Mat 4:1 Col 2:15 [Luk 24:27] [Joh 1:45] [Joh 5:46] [Act 10:43] [Act 13:32] [Act 26:6] [Act 28:23] [Rom 1:2]

    *ROMANS 16:19-20.*
19 For your obedience has become known to everyone, and I am full of joy for you. But I want you to be wise about what is good, and innocent about what is evil. Mat 10:16 1Co 14:20
20 The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet. May the grace of our Lord Jesus, the Messiah, be with all of you! [2Th 3:16]

    *TOPIC:*
    AUTHORITY OVER SATAN.

    *THE MESSAGE:*
The consequence of the fall brought enmity between the serpent (Satan), the woman, and her offspring. The first text points to Christ, the "seed of the Woman." Although Satan would inflict temporary suffering, Jesus would ultimately defeat Satan through His death and resurrection. Humanity may experience conflict, but there will be divine victory.
In the second text, Paul echoes Genesis 3:15, assuring believers that "the God of peace will soon crush Satan under their feet." This reflects the believer's participation in Christ's victory over Satan. The believer must not fear Satan and his cohorts because he has authority over him and his works. We take authority through prayer, using the word of God and the Name of Jesus. So, stand your ground!

    *REFLECTION:*
You have the power to subdue Satan.

    *PRAYER:*
Father, help me live in the authority You have secured for me. Amen.

    *MEMORY VERSE FOR THE MONTH:*
    COLOSSIANS 2:15.
"And having disarmed the powers and authorities, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross."

    *TODAY'S BIBLE READING PLAN:*
    2 KINGS 13-16.

How that by revelation He made known unto me….. the mystery of Christ”
    Ephesians 3:3-4

    Critical Question

The mystery of the person of the Lord Jesus Christ resides within His own nature, “What think ye of Me?” was the critical question Jesus asked His disciples. He knew what men considered Him to be – the reincarnation of some past prophet: ”But who do you say that I am?” was His question, “what think ye of Me?” Each one of us needs to consider Jesus. Each of us needs to be equipped with a right thinking of Him.

    Simple Question

The multifaceted, superlative attributes of God are indeed most astonishing, and we do well to consider them in reverence and awe. For He is almighty, immutable, transcendent and eternal. He is divinely omniscience. He is the omnipotent, omnipresent, tri-unity – He is indeed sovereign and infinite. And yet these holy and godly abstractions are condensed into concrete reality.. in the Person of the Lord Jesus Christ, and He asks His simple yet searching question, “what think ye of Me?”

    Astonishing Answer

We are not expected to attempt to understand mental abstractions of God’s character.. although His unsurpassed, preeminent, excellent magnificence is ever before us. Yet in the simplest and most wonderful way He told us Who He is: “He that has seen Me has seen the Father.” He who has seen Me has seen God. John 14:9

    Generating Centre

We are expected, by faith, to listen to His Word and to accept His explanation, for Jesus is the only medium, the only link – the only channel to the Father. He has made us His dwelling place and we are indeed the temple of the most High, but modern ethics and thinking considers God and humanity as one and the same! But this is to distort the simple fact that God was manifest in the flesh in Jesus, so that He might become the generating centre of all Who believe in His name.

    Heart Submission

Jesus proclaimed ‘I and My Father are One.” – for “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” John 1:1 The believer is one with Christ when His Spirit resides within. He wants us to rest in Him and submit to His leading and guiding through His Spirit. Indeed, heart submission is His dear desire for each of His own: “Abide in me, and I in you” John 15:7

    Submit or Resist

But submission is a choice. Some chose to resist His Spirit – and some choose to quench His Spirit, while others in the conceits of their own hearts, by self-effort, seek to imitate Him. Many make great effort to emulate and copy the life of the Lord Jesus. Many also seek to carry out His commands through their own will and ability.. but we can never become like Him though endeavour, imitation or self-effort.

    Human Strategies

We can never be like Him by applying human strategies or human programs. We cannot curb the fleshly tempers or appetites by conscious effort or monastic existence. This is the thinking of the world but it should never be that of the believer. When a man attempts thus to design his living, to reflect that of Christ, he will fail. A wayfaring man that so errs in the ways of God, is wise in his own conceits.

    Pure Diagnosis

God will often apply His chastising rod on the back of such a man or woman of His. God uses all the facts and realities of life to humble us before His throne of grace, and through our self-analysis or introspection we discover our efforts are in vain.. until at last the Holy Spirit gains our attention – until in the end He makes His pure diagnosis of our vain, self-efforts.

    Painful Process

He will then take us through His profoundly, painful process. He will use this and that heartbreaking strategy to gain our exhausted attention, until in discouragement we see that we are not, by effort, able to become like Him.. until in desperation we cry:- “depart from me for I am a sinful man O Lord..” Luke 5:8 – until all such aspects or attitudes are rooted out by the Spirit’s two-edged sword.

    Central Citadel

Any aspect or attitude of our lives which are not of Christ have their roots in Self, but the central citadel and supreme stronghold of Christianity is Jesus Christ alone, The very person of the Lord Jesus Christ is to be the central focus of our hearts. He is the Alpha and Omega of all life’s struggles. He is the the supreme Staff and Standard. Either you submit willingly to being conformed into the image of His Son – or through time, He will apply innumerable painful strategies to make you like Him. What think ye of Jesus Christ –

    CONSIDER HIM.

    2. Evening Prayer for today.

    i. Evening Prayer

Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts: And see if [there be any] wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting. ⏤ Psalm 139:23-24

God delights to answer the prayer of faith. ⏤ Samuel Chadwick

Dear heavenly Father, our hearts are filled with gratitude tonight as we think about how wisely You’ve led us this week. It’s been a week full of loving-kindness and tender mercy. You’ve walked with us every day and guarded us every night. You’ve brought us many blessings that will make this week bright in our memory. We’ve met new friends, read new books, had prayers answered, and found new joys. For all these things, we are very grateful.

Look over the record of this week, which is now laid out before You. You see the spots and stains—things we did that we shouldn’t have, and things we left undone that we should have done. Speak forgiveness to our hearts. We also ask for the grace to make the coming week better than this one. We can’t change the past, but we want to make the most of what’s left. Prepare us for the Lord’s Day, and may Sunday prepare us for the new week. Let Your Word search our hearts and reveal anything that’s not right—then make us clean.

Tonight, we pray for Your ministers who are preparing for tomorrow’s work. Fill them with Your Spirit, and lead them to the truth they need to share with Your people. Give them messages that bring life, peace, and comfort. Teach them what You want them to say. Hold them close to Your heart tonight so they’ll be ready for their sacred work. Give them empathy, so they can connect with those they’ll serve. Baptize them with a sense of human need, so they can truly help those who are hungry for the bread of life. We ask all this in Jesus' precious name. Amen.

  • Good evening, brethren.

    1. Evening g devotion for today.

    i. *DAILY WALK WITH CHRIST*
    (COCIN DEVOTIONAL)

    *DATE:*
    SUNDAY 12TH APRIL, 2026.

    *SUB-THEME:*
    THE CROSS: CULMINATION OF GRACE.

    *TOPIC:*
    GUARANTEES COMFORT.

    *TEXT:*
    2 CORINTHIANS 1:3-7.
    3. Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort,
    4. who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.
    5. For just as we share abundantly in the sufferings of Christ, so also our comfort abounds through Christ.
    6. If we are distressed, it is for your comfort and salvation; if we are comforted, it is for your comfort, which produces in you patient endurance of the same sufferings we suffer.
    7. And our hope for you is firm, because we know that just as you share in our sufferings, so also you share in our comfort.

    *TOPIC:*
    GUARANTEES COMFORT.

    *THE MESSAGE:*
The Christian race is full of trials, persecutions, and sufferings because of Christ. Today's text stresses God's role in comforting believers on all their afflictions. Just as believers share in Christ's suffering, they also share His abundant comfort. Indeed, God understands and knows our present situations. His comfort not only relieves the believers but equips them so that they can also extend that same comfort to others. Affliction and painful experiences deepen reliance on God while comfort empowers believers to support one another, especially the weak, the broken-hearted, the bereaved, and the victims of crises. It is not a must to speak when you visit a bereaved family. However, allow the Spirit of God to give you words of consolation.

    *REFLECTION:*
    He is the Great Comfort.

    *PRAYER:*
Lord, equip me to be a source of comfort to others. Amen.

    *MEMORY VERSE FOR THE MONTH:*
    COLOSSIANS 2:15.
"And having disarmed the powers and authorities, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross."

But Jesus did not commit Himself unto them, because He knew all men, and needed not that any should testify of man: for He knew what was in man.”
    John 2:24-25

    Grace and Truth

How we love to see the best in others – to overlook their flaws and weaknesses. How we want to excuse their little foibles and disregard their faults and failings. “What would Jesus do..?” – we ask ourselves… He would love them and He would forgive them… we tell ourselves. Really!!!

    Part Truth

That may be the truth but it’s not the whole truth, but only part of the truth! And a half truth is no truth if the whole truth is not supplied, Jesus would indeed love them, but Jesus would also correct them.

    Half Truth

How important it is to discipline ourselves into disillusionment. How vital to come to the place where we see men and women as they truly are.. where we see ourselves as we truly are. But in our foolish and shallow Christian walk we often prefer to trust in our illusions.

    Whole Truth

The one taken in adultery was given the whole truth and told to go a sin no more. The one that was healed was also told the whole truth and told to go a sin no more: “Behold, thou art made whole: sin no more, lest a worse thing come unto thee.” John 5:14

    Loving Aright

If we truly love God rightly then we will love others aright, but if we do not love God rightly, then we can never love others aright. If we truly love others rightly we will love them with His love. If we truly love others we will remove all man-erected illusions – we will see and love men as women through the eyes of disillusionment.

    Christlike Eyes

Through Him our love will have no cynicism, bitterness, cruelty or dissatisfaction.. and through Him we will not overlook flaws and weaknesses – faults and failings But through Him we will love with the sharpness of a double-edged sword. Faithful are the wounds of a friend – but the kisses of an enemy are deceitful.

    2. Evening Prayer for today.

    i. Evening Prayer

A Song of degrees of David. I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the LORD. ⏤ Psalm 122:1

Prayer is the way you defeat the devil, reach the lost, restore a backslider, strengthen the saints, send missionaries out, cure the sick, accomplish the impossible, and know the will of God. ⏤ David Jeremiah

At the end of Your holy day, our Father, we come to You with our evening prayers. May our prayers rise to You like incense. We thank You for what this day has brought us—rest, spiritual help, and instruction in divine things. We thank You for the glimpses of truth we’ve received as we’ve read Your word. We’re grateful for the good impulses and desires that have stirred in our hearts.

Make us strong to face life’s struggles. Give us more peace and confidence amid the world’s chaos and conflicts. May the holy influences of Sunday stay with us like sweet songs, and may we carry the music of gladness wherever we go in the coming week. May the light that has shone on us today make our faces brighter, so we can shine as lights in the world. May the kind thoughts and desires kindled in us by the Holy Spirit drive us to serve others as we go about our lives. In every way, may we carry a blessing into our daily lives that makes the world a little brighter and brings new joy to many hearts.

Bless the preaching of Your word everywhere today. May Your people be strengthened, the sorrowful comforted, and may many find new life in You starting this Sunday. May the world be holier, filled with more of the Spirit of Jesus, because Your people have remembered You today and have called down blessings on others. Pour out a large measure of Your love.

Forgive all our sins and failures in duty, and grant us Your grace and peace as we lie down to sleep. We ask all this through Jesus Christ, our Savior. Amen.

    Good evening, brethren.

Amen.

Good evening, brethren. 1. Evening g devotion for today. i. *DAILY WALK WITH CHRIST* (COCIN DEVOTIONAL) *DATE:* SUNDAY 12TH APRIL, 2026. *SUB-THEME:* THE CROSS: CULMINATION OF GRACE. *TOPIC:* GUARANTEES COMFORT. *TEXT:* 2 CORINTHIANS 1:3-7. 3. Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, 4. who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God. *TOPIC:* GUARANTEES COMFORT. *THE MESSAGE:* The Christian race is full of trials, persecutions, and sufferings because of Christ. *REFLECTION:* He is the Great Comfort. *PRAYER:* Lord, equip me to be a source of comfort to others. Amen. *MEMORY VERSE FOR THE MONTH:* COLOSSIANS 2:15. "And having disarmed the powers and authorities, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross." *TODAY'S BIBLE READING PLAN:* 2 KINGS 17-19. ii. How we want to excuse their little foibles and disregard their faults and failings. “What would Jesus do..?” – we ask ourselves… He would love them and He would forgive them… we tell ourselves. Really!!! Part Truth That may be the truth but it’s not the whole truth, but only part of the truth! And a half truth is no truth if the whole truth is not supplied, Jesus would indeed love them, but Jesus would also correct them. Half Truth How important it is to discipline ourselves into disillusionment. How vital to come to the place where we see men and women as they truly are.. where we see ourselves as we truly are. But in our foolish and shallow Christian walk we often prefer to trust in our illusions. Whole Truth The one taken in adultery was given the whole truth and told to go a sin no more. The one that was healed was also told the whole truth and told to go a sin no more: “Behold, thou art made whole: sin no more, lest a worse thing come unto thee.” John 5:14 Loving Aright If we truly love God rightly then we will love others aright, but if we do not love God rightly, then we can never love others aright. If we truly love others rightly we will love them with His love. If we truly love others we will remove all man-erected illusions – we will see and love men as women through the eyes of disillusionment. Christlike Eyes Through Him our love will have no cynicism, bitterness, cruelty or dissatisfaction.. and through Him we will not overlook flaws and weaknesses – faults and failings But through Him we will love with the sharpness of a double-edged sword. Faithful are the wounds of a friend – but the kisses of an enemy are deceitful. Post navigation Previous PostPrevious The Mystery of Christ Proudly powered by WordPress. 2.

Amen.

Good evening, brethren. 1. Evening devotion for today. i. *DAILY WALK WITH CHRIST* (COCIN DEVOTIONAL) *DATE:* SATURDAY, 11TH APRIL, 2026. *SUB-THEME:* THE CROSS: CULMINATION OF GRACE. *TEXTS:* GENESIS 3:15; ROMANS 16:19-20. *GENESIS 3:15;* 15 I will put hostility between you and the woman, and between your offspring and her offspring. He will bruise your head, and you will bruise his heel.” Mat 4:1 Col 2:15 [Luk 24:27] [Joh 1:45] [Joh 5:46] [Act 10:43] [Act 13:32] [Act 26:6] [Act 28:23] [Rom 1:2] *ROMANS 16:19-20.* 19 For your obedience has become known to everyone, and I am full of joy for you. But I want you to be wise about what is good, and innocent about what is evil. Mat 10:16 1Co 14:20 20 The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet. May the grace of our Lord Jesus, the Messiah, be with all of you! [2Th 3:16] *TOPIC:* AUTHORITY OVER SATAN. *THE MESSAGE:* The consequence of the fall brought enmity between the serpent (Satan), the woman, and her offspring. *REFLECTION:* You have the power to subdue Satan. *PRAYER:* Father, help me live in the authority You have secured for me. Amen. *MEMORY VERSE FOR THE MONTH:* COLOSSIANS 2:15. "And having disarmed the powers and authorities, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross." *TODAY'S BIBLE READING PLAN:* 2 KINGS 13-16. ii. Skip to content Dalily Devotional by Elizabeth Haworth Posted onApril 11, 2026 by Editor The Mystery of Christ Christian Applications Store:: Christian devotional App Store; Explore Recommended Christian Books and Devotionals How that by revelation He made known unto me….. the mystery of Christ” Ephesians 3:3-4 Critical Question The mystery of the person of the Lord Jesus Christ resides within His own nature, “What think ye of Me?” was the critical question Jesus asked His disciples. He knew what men considered Him to be – the reincarnation of some past prophet: ”But who do you say that I am?” was His question, “what think ye of Me?” Each one of us needs to consider Jesus. Each of us needs to be equipped with a right thinking of Him. Simple Question The multifaceted, superlative attributes of God are indeed most astonishing, and we do well to consider them in reverence and awe. For He is almighty, immutable, transcendent and eternal. He is divinely omniscience. He is the omnipotent, omnipresent, tri-unity – He is indeed sovereign and infinite. And yet these holy and godly abstractions are condensed into concrete reality.. in the Person of the Lord Jesus Christ, and He asks His simple yet searching question, “what think ye of Me?” Astonishing Answer We are not expected to attempt to understand mental abstractions of God’s character.. although His unsurpassed, preeminent, excellent magnificence is ever before us. Yet in the simplest and most wonderful way He told us Who He is: “He that has seen Me has seen the Father.” He who has seen Me has seen God. John 14:9 Generating Centre We are expected, by faith, to listen to His Word and to accept His explanation, for Jesus is the only medium, the only link – the only channel to the Father. He has made us His dwelling place and we are indeed the temple of the most High, but modern ethics and thinking considers God and humanity as one and the same! But this is to distort the simple fact that God was manifest in the flesh in Jesus, so that He might become the generating centre of all Who believe in His name. Heart Submission Jesus proclaimed ‘I and My Father are One.” – for “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” John 1:1 The believer is one with Christ when His Spirit resides within. He wants us to rest in Him and submit to His leading and guiding through His Spirit. Indeed, heart submission is His dear desire for each of His own: “Abide in me, and I in you” John 15:7 Submit or Resist But submission is a choice. Human Strategies We can never be like Him by applying human strategies or human programs. Pure Diagnosis God will often apply His chastising rod on the back of such a man or woman of His. God uses all the facts and realities of life to humble us before His throne of grace, and through our self-analysis or introspection we discover our efforts are in vain.. until at last the Holy Spirit gains our attention – until in the end He makes His pure diagnosis of our vain, self-efforts. Painful Process He will then take us through His profoundly, painful process.
