YOUR PRAYER Prayer is one of the greatest gifts God gave to mankind. Prayer is not just talking; prayer is spiritual communication between man and God. Through prayer, battles are won, destinies are restored, doors are opened, and lives are transformed. Many people go to church but do not know the power hidden in sincere prayer. Some pray casually, some pray only in trouble, while others have stopped praying because they feel God is silent. But throughout the Bible, we see that prayer changes situations. Your prayer can: Change your story Heal your body Restore your family Defeat the enemy Open heaven over your life And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us.” — 1 John 5:14 1. Prayer Connects You to God Prayer brings man into fellowship with God. “Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things…” — Jeremiah 33:3 God desires His children to call upon Him. A prayerless Christian becomes spiritually weak. Jesus Himself prayed constantly even though He was the Son of God. “And he withdrew himself into the wilderness, and prayed.” — Luke 5:16 If Jesus prayed, then nobody is above prayer. 2. Your Prayer Has Power Prayer is not empty words. Genuine prayer carries spiritual power. “The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.” — James 5:16 Elijah prayed and heaven withheld rain. He prayed again and rain returned. “Elias was a man subject to like passions as we are…” — James 5:17-18 This means ordinary people can produce extraordinary results through prayer. Prayer can: Break chains Destroy evil plans Bring healing Release miracles Bring divine direction 3. Prayer Must Be Done With Faith Many people pray but doubt in their hearts. “But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering…” — James 1:6 Faith is believing that God can answer even before you see the result.
