Everyone Lives for Themselves… But Living for Others Is the True Meaning of Life
In this world, everyone chases their own needs — success, comfort, progress, dreams.
But the greatest person is the one who rises above personal desires and chooses to live for others.
God did not create us for selfishness, but for love, service, sacrifice, and compassion.
Jesus Christ said:
“Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.” — John 13:34
This is not love in words, but love in action.
True life begins when our actions reflect the love of Christ.
The Bible also says:
“For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many.” — Mark 10:45
What does living for others really mean?
➤ Feeding the hungry
➤ Comforting the broken
➤ Supporting the helpless
➤ Loving the rejected
➤ Wiping someone’s silent tears
➤ Caring without expecting anything in return
This is the love Jesus showed — sacrificial love.
“Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.” — John 15:13
Love changes people — and the one who gives love is changed first.
In giving, we never lose ourselves; we gain a new purpose and a deeper joy.
The Bible declares:
“It is more blessed to give than to receive.” — Acts 20:35
Let us choose today to live not only for ourselves,
but for the love Christ taught us —
a love that is patient, kind, humble, forgiving, and never fails.
— 1 Corinthians 13
