- In these troubled times in our country and around the world, it's more important then ever for us to put our total trust in God. Regardless of your political affiliation, no human being is going to "save the world". We may have opinions about which candidates will do a better job of bringing our country back to the Lord and the Christian principles that were at the foundation of our country. But we have to trust that God has a perfect plan for our country and the world and He will execute that plan at the perfect time. We need to turn off the news and all of the biased reporting and open our Bibles more often. And we need to remember that we may pray for solutions to problems that are based on our limited knowledge, but God is omniscient and He will answer ALL prayers in a way that honors Him and that is in the best interest of the object of our prayers.
Also, as Erwin Lutzer said in his book, now is not the time for Christians to be silent. The Great Commission was NOT directed to the 12, but to ALL who follow Jesus. We need to be bold right now in following Jesus' last command before He ascended into Heaven to "make disciples of all nations" and share the Gospel with everyone we can.
