*****UPDATE***
They did not go to church on Sunday. He says they feel abandoned by God, because "He is all we had and we trusted wholeheartedly with the utmost faith and confidence." My son also commented that a few weeks ago the pastor preached about how you should tell people when you are expecting a miracle. That you should not keep silent in case it doesn't happen, after all God doesn't need you to protect his reputation. This has left them very confused by God.
Concerned is a better description than sad. My out of state son is having a crisis of faith. He felt sure that God was going to bless him and his wife with a child through this last IVI procedure, and once again it didn't take. He is now questioning where is God. He said he went to church yesterday because his other 2 girls need the example, but that church was the last place he wanted to be. He asked me how do you explain to someone that you are in love with a child that never existed...As a mom, and a Christian, this conversation broke my heart that I am not able to be there to comfort him and reassure him that God is still in control. It also brought up the memories of my own miscarriage exactly 27 years ago.
