THE PILGRIMS GUIDE THURSDAY APRIL 9, 2024 REDEEMED THROUGH THE BLOOD 3 A WORD FROM THE WORD: "In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:" Colossians 1:14 KJV. The blood of Jesus Christ has the perpetual power of reconciliation, that is reconciling us to God. The blood of Jesus Christ brings to the believing child of God a change in status, from darkness to light. It makes us victorious, keeps us safe from every harm, danger and alarms. The blood of Jesus gives and brings us peace. It was shed among other things, to release us from the eternal penalty and the earthly power of our own sins. This freedom was not 'free,' since it is paid for by Christ's death; it cost Him everything. Resultantly, for the believer, the ultimate price has already been paid. This is grace: the ability to become a child of God, because God provided a free way to know Him by faith. PRAYER BULLETS: LORD Jesus, I thank You for redeeming my soul so that I will join the hosts of heaven to rejoice in, and worship You. May I never lose sight of Your redeeming sacrifice for me and humanity.
