REDEEMED THROUGH HIS BLOOD 1
A WORD FROM THE WORD:
"In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:" Colossians 1:14 KJV.
There is no overemphasising on the efficacy of the blood of Jesus and what it accomplished for humanity. The blood of Jesus Christ is peculiarly active because it speaks of better things, and does the 'cleansing' of our sins and not the 'covering' which was obtainable and operational before then through the blood of sacrificial animals. The blood of Jesus has the capacity and the immanent power to forgive sins.
We have been purchased with, and empowered by the blood of Jesus Christ.
It justifies us and cleanses our consciences from dead works, (Hebrews 10:22; Revelation 1:5).
When the blood cleanses you, you become pure, and it doesn't stop working in your life. The blood of Jesus Christ makes us holy; unholy life brings about death, both physical and spiritual, but through redemption, the blood of Jesus Christ opens the door for us to come to God, (Hebrews 7:25; Ephesians 2:13, 18).
PRAYER BULLETS:
ABBA Father, I thank You for sending Your Son, my LORD Jesus, to the Cross to die for my sins in order to redeem my soul. LORD JESUS, in recognition that You are the only way to salvation, I ask You to wash my sins into the sea of forgetfulness.
FURTHER READING:
Matthew 26:28; Colossians 1:14; Romans 3:25; 1 John 2:2; Acts 20:28; 1 Peter 1:18-19; Titus 1:11-13; Colossians 1:13-14; 1 John 1:7.
