Holy Saturday – The Silence Before the Victory
AND TODAY IS A QUIET DAY!
After the intensity of Holy Week—after the teachings, the confrontations, the miracles, the Last Supper, and the cross—we arrive at a moment that feels still… almost silent.
Jesus has been crucified.
His body has been laid in the tomb.
The crowds have gone home.
The disciples are scattered, confused, and grieving.
From a human perspective, it looks like Everything is over
But heaven knows something they haven't seen yet
THIS WEEK, WE HAVE WALKED WITH JESUS
From Palm Sunday, where He was welcomed as King
To Monday and Tuesday, where He taught truth and exposed hearts
To Wednesday, calling us to be ready
To Thursday, where He showed us love, humility, and intimacy
To Good Friday, where He gave His life on the cross
AND NOW... WE SIT IN TENSION!
The promise has been spoken—but the fulfillment has not yet been seen.
THE MEANING OF THIS MOMENT:
Holy Saturday teaches us something powerful about our own lives.
There are moments when:
-God has spoken
-God has promised
-God has moved
But we don’t yet see the outcome.
-It feels quiet.
-It feels uncertain.
-It feels like waiting.
But just because God is silent does not mean He is absent.
Just because we cannot see it does not mean He is not working.
Behind the stone, something is happening.
TAKE A MOMENT AND REFLECT:
-Where in your life are you in the “in-between”?
-Where has God made a promise that you haven’t yet seen fulfilled?
-Where does it feel quiet… but you know God is still working?
HOLY SATURDAY INVITES US TO TRUST GOD IN THE SILENCE!
-To believe even when we don’t see.
-To hold onto His promises when everything feels uncertain.
BECAUSE WHAT LOOKS LIKE THE END... IS NOT THE END!
-The cross was not the final word.
-The tomb will not stay closed.
-Sunday is coming
-Victory is coming.
-Resurrection is coming.
-Life is coming.
DO NOT LOSE HEART IN THE WAITING!
-God is still moving.
-God is still working.
-God is still faithful.
The same power that raised Jesus from the dead is about to be revealed—and it changes everything
WE LEARN THREE THINGS:
1. God is working even in the silence
2. Waiting seasons are part of God’s plan
3. What looks like the end is often the beginning
Stay faithful in the waiting. Trust His promises. Prepare your heart—Resurrection is coming. Walk daily with Jesus on Lordsbook.
