THE PILGRIMS GUIDE
FRIDAY APRIL 3, 2026
LIVING IN NEWNESS OF LIFE
A WORD FROM THE WORD:
"You are clean, even now, through the teaching which I have given you." John 15:3 BBE.
When you get born-again, the new nature you receive is wired with an immanent desire and inclination to be obedient to God. Due to the programming, you'll discover that whenever you put in the right information, you get the right answer.
Whenever you feed your spirit man with God's Word, it's designed to give you the right response. That's why Satan often tries to engage you to be 'busyful' doing other things that makes it difficult for you to spend time reading your Bible. His ultimate goal is to keep you weakened and ineffective.
Paul, the apostle by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit writes, "And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit." (2 Corinthians 3:18 NIV). The more time you spend in God's Word, the more you continue to transform to His likeness, by His Spirit. But this does not happen in one fell swoop by just grabbing a verse here and there or skimming through a passage. No, it calls for renewing your mind every day with God's Word, to the extent that the Holy Spirit connects with your spirit and produces a Christlike lifestyle. The LORD Jesus says: 'You are already clean because of the word I have spoken to you. Remain in me, as I also remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me.' (John 15:3-4 NIV).
You need to soak up your mind in God's Word. It removes not only the dross of sin, but also gross sin, and also the stubborn and hardened attitudes that keep you from growing in God's grace.
PRAYER BULLETS:
LORD Jesus, I thank You for the privilege of a new life. Grant me Your grace to walk in this divine blessing and glorify You all my life.
FURTHER READING:
John 15:3-4; Romans 12:1-2; 2 Corinthians 3:18.
