Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light." 2 Corinthians 11:14 NIV If there is no original version of a thing, there will never be a counterfeit of the same. It is vital and important too that we as God’s children learn to discern that God is the Creator of that which is counterfeited by Satan. We need to diligently study and stay in God's Word to enable us as His children, by the help of the Holy Spirit to decipher the difference between the two. The word of God is to the Christian a product manual of life and living, when we study it, we would be able to know how to differentiate between the real and the counterfeit in addition to handling the journey set before us. The Holy Spirit, our Helper, is the down payment of 'what' is to come. He is the One that guides us, taking the deep things of God and making them known to us, God's children. Through His ongoing earthly ministry, He makes known to us the difference between the original and the counterfeit, but we must yield to Him and be teachable. While we're accessing His help, there's a great need to purge ourselves of every impurity in order to meet God's acceptable standards, and then allow the Holy Spirit to do the ultimate purging as we make ourselves available to Him volitionally. PRAYER BULLETS: Father LORD, forgive me for embracing the counterfeit of Satan before now. Bring to my mind in the present anything that may be a spiritual counterfeit, and strengthen me to reject them eternally.
