Arise Daily Devotional Pastor Wisdom Sunday 8th, February. *WATCH WHAT DEFILES* Matthew 15:19-20. For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies: These are the things which defile a man: but to eat with unwashen hands defileth not a man. Daniel purposed in his heart that he might not defile himself with the portion of the king’s delicacies. Now, that means he identified the things that defiles, and by that he chose not to defile himself. If you don’t recognise the things that defiles you, you would always live in defilement. Evil thoughts defiles. And you mustn’t allow it into your heart. Many are defiled before executing their evil thoughts. If you’re thinking about stealing, fornication, lie and the rest, you’ve already defiled yourself before carrying them. So you must be very watchful on those things and purpose not to defile yourself. Separate yourself from those lifestyles and dedicate your entire life to the Holy Spirit. Prayer: Father, help me to stay away from the things that brings defilement to my life as long as I live. With a purposeful heart today I shall never defile God’s temple.
