17 years ago, I started dialysis. I was 41 years old at the time. I put off starting the treatments out of denial. I was 2 weeks away from death. I was angry with God. The time that I was on Dialysis, life was fragile, still is. Praying was just as essential as breathing! I needed God every minute of the day every day. When I was broken is when Jesus came to the rescue and showed me how he is the essence of life. Today is my 12th year anniversary of my kidney transplant. I need him just as much as I ever have, but its amazing how arrogant the human spirit can be thinking that you can do things on your own.
