In the desert's heat and trials' fire, The Lord our God did prove and tire. He humbled thee and let thee thirst, While hunger's pangs were at their worst. Then manna fell, a gift unknown, To seed the faith that He had sown; That every heart at last might see, Bread cannot set the spirit free. For man lives not by grain alone, Or fruits that from the earth are grown, But by the Word, the Truth, the Breath, That saves us from the grip of death. 🍞 Deuteronomy 8:3 NASB And He humbled you and let you go hungry, and fed you with the manna which you did not know, nor did your fathers know, in order to make you understand that man shall not live on bread alone, but man shall live on everything that comes out of the mouth of the Lord. 🙏 Heavenly Father, thank You for teaching me that I do not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from Your mouth. Feed my soul with Your truth today and help me to hunger for Your presence more than any earthly thing. Amen. 😇
