One time, I had a conversation with my sister about what true friendship really means. We talked about how genuine friends stand by each other and truly have one another’s back. True friendship is not driven by envy or jealousy. A real friend does not seek your downfall or rejoice when you are in pain or experiencing loss. Instead, they desire your growth in every aspect of life.

A true friend checks up on you, values your presence, and makes time for you. They find joy in your happiness, and your pain becomes their pain. They do not gossip about you behind your back; rather, they protect your integrity and speak well of you even in your absence. Their love is genuine, deep, and from the heart.

If you are blessed with friends who love you unconditionally, cherish and appreciate them. Such friendships are rare to find in these times.
