Walking in the Steps of the Saviour

Beloved, the hymn reminds us that true joy and peace come when we walk in the steps of Jesus — not just talking about Him, but following Him daily. To walk in His steps means to live as He lived: in love, humility, patience, and obedience to the Father’s will.
The world often pulls us in other directions — toward pride, self-will, or compromise — but Christ calls us to follow His example, even when the path is narrow. The light of His Word shows us the way, and His Spirit strengthens our steps.
When we walk in His steps, we reflect His light to others. Our words become kinder, our hearts softer, and our lives more peaceful. Though the journey may be hard at times, the reward is sure: one day we shall see Him, our King, and rejoice to hear, “Well done, good and faithful servant.”
