"God’s Purpose in Every Piece"
Scripture
> “And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.”
— Romans 8:28 (NKJV)
“Nothing Is Wasted”
Life doesn’t always make sense.
Sometimes we’re faced with pain, delays, disappointments, or detours that leave us wondering, “God, what are You doing?” But Romans 8:28 is a rock we can stand on, no matter what comes our way.
Paul says with confidence: “We know.” This isn’t wishful thinking or blind optimism. It’s a deep trust in the sovereignty of a good God. Not that all things are good—but that all things work together for good when we place our lives in God’s hands.
That bad break? He can use it.
That painful loss? He can redeem it.
That broken season? He can rebuild it.
But here’s the key: this promise isn’t for everyone. It’s for “those who love God” and are “called according to His purpose.” When your heart is His, He takes every thread—joy, sorrow, success, failure—and weaves it into something eternally beautiful.
You may not see it now, but God wastes nothing. What you’re walking through isn’t pointless—it’s part of a bigger picture.
Reflection Questions
1. Am I trusting God even when I don’t understand the “why”?
2. Do I truly believe that everything—even the hard things—can work for my good?
3. What situation in my life do I need to surrender to God’s purpose today?
Prayer
Heavenly Father, thank You that nothing in my life is beyond Your reach. I trust that You are working behind the scenes, even when I don’t see it. Help me to love You more deeply and walk in Your purpose more fully. Turn my trials into testimonies and my pain into purpose. I surrender my story to Your hands. In Jesus’ name, Amen
