WHAT GOD IS TO YOU MAY NOT BE WHAT HE IS TO ME. HE MAY BE A MERCIFUL FATHER TO YOU AND BE A CONSUMING FIRE TO ME. TO THE 7 CHURCHES HE WROTE TO IN REVELATION 2 AND 3, HE WAS DIFFERENT THINGS TO DIFFERENT CHURCHES ACCORDING TO THEIR OWN PECULIARITY. TO ONE CHURCH HE WAS WALKING IN THE MIDST OF SEVEN GOLDEN CANDLE STICKS, TO ANOTHER CHURCH HE WAS THE FIRST AND LAST, WHICH WAS DEAD AND IS ALIVE. TO ANOTHER CHURCH HE WAS HE WHICH HATH THE SHARP SWORD WITH TWO EDGES, AND TO ANOTHER CHURCH HE HAD IS EYES LIKE UNTO A FLAM OF FIRE AND HIS FEET ARE LIKE FINE BRASS. This goes to tell us that He deals with us differently, that's why 1. Don't follow people because what they do and go Scott free might be what would end you. 2. It's ignorance to condemn how people choose to address God. If they say what God cannot do does not exist, that's how God has revealed himself to them. If you think what God cannot do does exist, you are right too, maybe that's how He reveals Himself to you. What He is to one church (person) He may be a different thing to another church (person).
