- Be of Good Courage
In life’s journey, challenges will come — moments that test our faith, patience, and hope. But God’s word reminds us again and again: “Be of good courage.”
It’s more than a call to be brave; it’s an invitation to trust in God’s unfailing presence. When fear whispers that you can’t go on, courage says, “God is with me.”
Joshua 1:9 – “Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.”
Let your courage spring not from your strength, but from your confidence in God’s faithfulness. Even in uncertainty, He goes before you, stands beside you, and dwells within you.
Prayer:
Lord, fill my heart with courage that comes from trusting You. When I am weak, be my strength; when I am afraid, remind me that You are near. Please log in to like, share and comment! - Thanksgiving: The Secret to Answered Prayers
Many believers rush into the place of prayer with petitions and requests, but few remember that thanksgiving is often the key that unlocks the door to divine response. Gratitude is not just a polite gesture—it is a powerful expression of faith that moves the hand of God.
When we thank God, we acknowledge His faithfulness and goodness, even before the manifestation of our desires. Thanksgiving shifts our focus from our problems to God’s power, from lack to abundance, and from worry to worship.
Paul revealed this divine secret in Philippians 4:6 — “Be careful for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.”
Notice that prayer and supplication must be accompanied by thanksgiving. It is gratitude that seals our requests and brings peace to our hearts (Philippians 4:7).
Even Jesus demonstrated this principle. Before feeding the five thousand, He lifted up the loaves and gave thanks (John 6:11), and multiplication followed. At Lazarus’ tomb, He first said, “Father, I thank You because You have heard Me” (John 11:41), and the dead came back to life. Thanksgiving came before the miracle.
Therefore, thanksgiving is not what we do after the answer—it is what provokes the answer. A thankful heart invites God’s presence, and where God is, impossibilities bow.

Lord, teach me to approach You with gratitude in all things. May my heart overflow with thanksgiving, that my prayers may ascend as a sweet-smelling offering before You. - Encouragement During Difficult Times
When going through a challenging phase in life, do not give up. Remember that God is with you, and in Him, you will find the strength and courage needed to overcome every predicament. The Scripture says, “Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand” (Isaiah 41:10).
Trust in the Lord’s presence and guidance, for “My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness” (2 Corinthians 12:9). In moments of distress, look unto Him in faith and perseverance, and He will make a way where there seems to be none (Isaiah 43:16).
I pray that God paves a way for you, granting you peace, strength, and divine breakthrough in every area of your life, in Jesus’ name. Overcoming flesh and Becoming one with Christ
SEMINAR: Overcoming Flesh and Becoming One with Christ
Theme Scripture:
Galatians 5:16 – “This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.”
John 17:21 – “…that they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us.”
⸻
1. Introduction
• Define flesh (Greek: sarx) – the sinful nature that resists God.
• Define oneness with Christ – spiritual union with Him through faith, love, and obedience.
• Importance of the seminar: Many Christians love God but struggle with the pull of the flesh. The victory lies in daily yielding to the Spirit.
⸻
2. Understanding the Flesh
• Nature of the flesh (Romans 7:18, Galatians 5:19–21)
• Lust, pride, anger, envy, self-will.
• The enemy within: The greatest battle is not external but internal.
• Consequences of living in the flesh: Spiritual death, broken fellowship, loss of divine power.
⸻
3. Biblical Principles for Overcoming the Flesh
1. Crucifixion with Christ (Galatians 2:20)
• The old man is crucified; we must reckon it dead daily.
2. Renewing the Mind (Romans 12:1–2)
• A transformed thought-life produces transformed actions.
3. Walking in the Spirit (Galatians 5:16)
• Daily sensitivity to the Holy Spirit prevents fleshly domination.
4. Prayer and Fasting (Matthew 26:41)
• Discipline that subdues the flesh and strengthens the spirit.
5. Accountability and Fellowship (Hebrews 10:24–25)
• Believers grow stronger when they walk together in truth.
⸻
4. Becoming One with Christ
• Union in His Death and Resurrection (Romans 6:5–8)
• Abiding in Christ (John 15:4–5) – constant fellowship and dependence.
• Obedience to His Word (John 14:23) – intimacy comes through surrender.
• Manifesting the fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22–23) – evidence of true oneness.
• Living as Christ’s representative (2 Corinthians 5:20).
⸻
5. Practical Pathways to Oneness
• Daily devotion and communion with God.
• Practice of holiness and separation from worldly patterns.
• Consistent self-examination (2 Corinthians 13:5).
• Cultivating humility and love – the nature of Christ.
• Service to God and others as an overflow of union with Christ.
⸻
6. Hindrances to Overcoming the Flesh
• Compromise with worldly values.
• Prayerlessness and neglect of the Word.
• Self-dependence instead of Spirit-dependence.
• Hidden sins and unconfessed weaknesses.
⸻
7. Rewards of Oneness with Christ
• Peace and joy in the Spirit.
• Power over sin and satanic influence.
• Spiritual authority and answered prayers.
• Glorification with Christ at His coming (Romans 8:17).
• Fulfillment of God’s eternal purpose.
⸻
8. Conclusion
Overcoming the flesh is not by human strength but by total surrender to Christ and constant reliance on the Holy Spirit. Becoming one with Christ is the believer’s highest calling – a life of intimacy, obedience, and glory.
⸻
9. Seminar Activities
