Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them all. Psalm 34:19

As it is, even the righteous cannot escape affliction, this is because we live in a world where afflictions have become natural. Even redemption did not exempt us from the occurrences of the world. However the believer has an edge. First, redemption puts him in a position where afflictions are not permitted to destroy him though many are they that would come. Second, redemption make him dear to the Lord thereby making the Lord to ensure his deliverance and victory. And so, although many afflictions would come to the righteous, the Lord is with him to deliver him from them all.
It does not matter the afflictions you are facing right now, they cannot destroy you, and the Lord is right with you to bring you out of them all. One thing is sure, and that is victory over all afflictions.
Facing affliction is not an end, it is a means to your greater testimony. Therefore don't live is depression, frustration and defeat. You are in a place where victory over affliction is more natural than the afflictions that you are facing. Therefore let faith, hope and joy fill your heart as the Lord ensures your victory.
You shall not see shame. Your testimony is incontestable. Shalom

Unto the pure all things are pure: but unto them that are defiled and unbelieving is nothing pure; but even their mind and conscience is defiled. Titus 1:15

Our individual perception and judgment of others, and our interpretation of their actions are first determined by our state of mind. There are people with whom we have no relationship or dealing with but by seeing them we concluded who they are because of what or who we perceived them to be in our minds.
We must understand that our perception and judgment of others can be wrong especially when our mind towards them is biased. A person who has a biased attitude towards you will judge you from that mindset and influenced others to see you from that perspective. And he will go about telling people biased and evil things about you.
A man that has good mind towards you will see you as a good person. Even when you do something wrong, he will not call you a bad person because he judges you from a good perception.
A good person will remain a bad person as long as your mind is bad towards him.
Therefore we must learn to have a pure mind and conscience towards others and allow the Word of God to influence your sense of judgement.
Have a pour mind towards others. Remember, to him that is pure, everything is pure. SELAH.

Our Lord Jesus Christ instructed us to preach making disciples and baptize those that believed. So today, we baptised some brethren as we obey the bidding of the LORD.

For I have given you an example, that ye should do as I have done to you. John 13:15

In this season Christians celebrate and remembers the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour, it is important we take another look at what Jesus did. We must know that beyond dying to set us free from sin and eternal condemnation, Jesus Christ also set Himself as the example that we are to follow. Never forget that He said we should pick our cross and follow Him. This means, just as He carried His own cross and died on it, so also we are to carry our cross and die on it. The cross is not actually those two woods. The cross was the WILL OF GOD for Him. You are not going to catry two woods walking the street daily. Your cross is the will, purpose or destiny God has assigned to you. And just as Jesus finished His assignment, so also looking unto Him, you and I must strive to discover, pursue and finish our God-given assignment. Let every Easter remind you of your purpose in Christ that you are to finish. The cross is the sacrificed that is to be paid to get the will of God done or fulfilled. Take example from the Lord and willing pay every price needed to fulfil the assignment of God for your life.

Our Lord Jesus Christ taught us through his death, burial and resurrection that living to please the Father will cost us. It will cost us our comfort, pleasures, valuables, relationships, and resources. Following God will cost your life. It will take sacrifice to do the will of God for your life. Many people think following God is going to be on the easy path and so, when there is a demand on them to make sacrifice, they turn their back. The question is: what sacrifice are you willing to make to do the will of God? What extent are you willing to go in order to do the will of God? What pleasure are you willing to forfeit in order to please the Lord? What relationship are you willing to severe in order to do the bidding of Lord?
Following God will cost you. May you be willing to pay the sacrifice needed to please your Lord and Saviour. Amen.

Happy and glorious birthday to my bishop and spiritual father who ordained into the ministry of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Daddy, grace and honour will continually be your path in this new season.

WE ALL SHALL NOT BE POPULAR. BUT WE ALL CAN BE EFFECTIVE IN OUR CALLING.

So Jonah went out of the city, and sat on the east side of the city, and there made him a booth, and sat under it in the shadow, till he might see what would become of the city. Jonah 4:5

Jonah preached repentance to the people of Neniveh, but he was expecting their destruction. He preached of the God of mercy yet he was expecting the same God to destroy them because of what they had done to his people. And so he sat somewhere to see what would happen to the people of Neniveh.
There are Jonah types of people today even in the church who laugh with you but are really expecting you to cry, they bless you with their mouth but curse you with their heart. They tell how good you at your presence but go behind to tell people how bad you and try very hard to disconnect people from you. They rejoice with you about your business but want the business to close down. They are only expecting you to go down and waiting to see the evil that will happen to you.
As a pastor I have encountered them and even pastored some of them, and I can tell their character. But God who always disappoints the expectations of Jonah kept disappointing them. When their expectations do not come to pass, they will leave almost quietly and be distant from you just as Jonah never went to Neniveh again.
I pray for you today, whosoever is sitting and waiting to see the evil that will befall you shall be the one to experience it in Jesus mighty name. Those who are eager to see you cry, they will have enough cry of sorrow. God will so much disappoint these Jonahs by giving you unplanned, unprepared, unexpected, and unqualified testimonies which they see and hear of in Jesus mighty name.
Don't fret about the Jonahs who want to see you go down, just respond to God and follow His instructions just as the people of Neniveh did. God is still disappointing Jonahs even at this time. SELAH

If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men. Romans 12:18

One major thing the enemy does not want us to have is peaceful relationship with other people. From marriage to family relationship, from social to business relationships, from spiritual to mutual relationships, the enemy is working hard to destroy the peace that holds us together. This is why something that is insignificant can bring disunity among those that had been living together peacefully. I have seen good friends separated, family destroyed, people deserting those who once stood for them because there was disruption of the peace that was among them. The enemy knos that without peace we can't achieve much, we can't trust ourselves, we can't make progress, and we would become suspicious of each other. So he gives us reasons not to be at peace with others.
But as believers, we are admonished to live peaceably with all men. We are required to ensure peace with the virtue of the Lord in us. Let us learn to guard our peace and ensure peace with those God has given us. Remember, blessed are the peace makers, for they shall be called the sons of God. Don't be a peace destroyer, don't sow discord where there is peace. Keep peace and live peacefully with others. Amen.

And the evil spirit answered and said, Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are ye? Acts 19:15

Do the demons you bind always know you? Do the devils you pray against know you?
Just like the seven sons of Sceva, we must know that praying is not enough, using the name of Jesus in prayer is not enough for the devil to obey us. The devil obeys us to the degree he knows us. The devil submits to us based on our true relationship with Christ, obedience to His instruction and submission to His authority, loyalty to His human servants placed over us. The sons of Sceva used the name of Jesus which Paul was preaching whereas they had no relationship neither with Paul nor Jesus Christ. Many have been wounded by the same devil they have been binding. The situation of many people have become worse because their situations don't know them to obey their prayer.
Be so committed in obedient and submissive relationship with Christ that the devil will know you to obey you.
It is time for the devil to know you.

And he sware unto her, whatsoever thou shalt ask of me, I will give it thee, unto half of my kingdom.

It is of great importance that at every point in time, we weigh the words we speak, or the oath or promise we make.
So many have made oath with the devil unknowingly to them, and today they are suffering from the consequences of the oath they made.
Don't be too excited or quick to make a promise to God or man, it might cost you your life or something that is dare to you.
'The king swore to give the daughter whatsoever she ask for' and this cost John the Baptist head.
Many have made promises they are regretting today. Therefore be careful, think and allow the Holy spirit guide you in what you say, so you won't regret tomorrow.

Rejoice not against me, O mine enemy: when I fall, I shall arise; when I sit in darkness, the LORD shall be a light unto me. Micah 7:8

Are you aware that there are people who rejoice when things are going bad with others. Yes, it is true that we do not have the absolute power to determine and control the events of life. Sometimes we are knocked down at one point or the other, and those whose desire is to see us down celebrate it.
However, dear child of God, never allow the attitude of people to stop you from rising. Rather, the ill attitude of people towards you in your down moments should stir you to rise again. No matter how great the fall, you will rise again because God is on your side. Look away from people, and put focus on the LORD who will make you rise again.
Friend, YOU SHALL RISE AGAIN. AMEN.

Studying the Scripture we discover the ways of God which we are to apply to our daily life. Here we see how God plans not just for you but for your children and those that would be connected to you. The Promise of God is not just for you but also for others through you. The lesson we must take from this and apply to our lives is that, we must not plan for ourselves alone. Our planning must extend to our children, those connected to us and those that would be connected to us in distant future. Working with this model, we put ourselves in position where God entrusts His blessings unto us not just for us but also for the sake of others.
Plan beyond you. SELAH.

Humility helps you to recognize your limitations in knowledge and creates the desire to learn what you don't know. Humility helps you to know that you don't know enough. So learning becomes the pursuit of the humble man. Never come to a point where you think you know all. You dont know enough to lead your life. Secondly, humility helps you recognize your wrongs, and so seek for correction. Those who think they are always right can never be corrected. Humility is therefore foundational to learning and repentance. A proud person will never learn. A proud person will never repent. He sees no need to say sorry for his wrong doing, and so he continues in his wrong until he is destroyed.
Let us always humble ourselves to tell the LORD: "That which I see not teach thou me: if I have done iniquity, I will do no more".
