ONJ United Fellowship – Cross-Cultural Family Exchange Program
1. Vision
To create a Christ-centered platform where Christian families from different nations can live, serve, and worship together in Kenya. Through this exchange, families will experience cross-cultural fellowship, strengthen global discipleship, and advance the Gospel among local communities.
2. Goals
To share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with communities in Kenya through family witness.
To promote cultural understanding and unity in the Body of Christ.
To encourage mutual discipleship, where visiting families and local families learn from one another.
To engage children and youth in intercultural Christian fellowship.
To equip families for long-term mission vision.
3. Program Activities
Family-to-Family Fellowship
Daily devotion and worship with local families.
Sharing meals and cultural traditions.
Evangelism & Discipleship
Village gospel outreaches.
Testimonies, preaching, and children’s ministry.
Youth and women’s Bible studies.
Community Service
Practical projects (e.g., farming, permaculture, widows’ and orphans’ support, school outreach).
Cultural Exchange
Local language learning (basic Kiswahili, Luo).
Kenyan cultural music, food, and traditions.
Sharing international culture with Kenyan believers.
Children’s & Youth Exchange
Joint sports, games, music, and creative arts.
Christian education sharing (Sunday school, homeschooling methods).
4. Duration Options
Short-Term Exchange: 2 weeks – 3 months.
Medium-Term Exchange: 3 – 12 months.
Long-Term Exchange: 1–3 years (for families considering mission residency).
5. Hosting & Support
ONJ United Fellowship will provide:
Safe and welcoming host families or guest houses.
Local orientation and cultural training.
Ministry placements suited for families (children, youth, women, evangelism).
Visiting families are encouraged to:
Cover travel and basic living costs.
Contribute to ministry through prayer, service, and financial support where possible.
6. Expected Outcomes
