Call Jesus the Son of Man because he took on a body
like that of a human being and was like a human being in every way
except that he was without sin and did not live on earth for himself but came to die for
all people.
The height of sacrifice and giving is that the Judge becomes condemned to the Father and bears all the punishment of the world in his body.
There is no God like him.

Evening Prayer for Peace and Healing

Lord of Heaven,
On this evening, we lift our hearts to You with reverence and hope.
We ask for Your blessing upon our lives, and for Your light to guide our paths.
Bless our homes and our work, and fill them with true and lasting peace.

God of mercy,
Look upon this hurting world—
Enough of wars, enough of tears, enough of hunger.
Stretch out Your healing hand over every sick and suffering soul,
And fill broken hearts with hope again.

Jesus, our Savior,
Shine Your light upon all humanity,
Let Your love spread to every corner of the earth,
So that peace may cover the whole world.

Teach us to be instruments of Your peace—
To carry love instead of hatred, to plant hope where there is despair,
So that the world may know You are the way, the truth, and the life.

We pray in Your holy name,
