  • Many people chase positions without knowing their purpose. Until a man sees himself through God's lens, he remains confused in calling.

  • The hymn "When the Roll Is Called Up Yonder" was written by James Milton Black in 1893, inspired by a Sunday school experience. Black, a Sunday school teacher, noticed a young girl named Bessie was absent during roll call. He was struck by the thought of someone being absent from the heavenly roll call and subsequently wrote the hymn based on this experience.
    Here's a more detailed breakdown:
    The Inspiration:
James Milton Black, also a youth leader, met a 14-year-old girl named Bessie, the daughter of an alcoholic, who was poorly dressed. He invited her to his Sunday school and youth group.
    The Absence:
One evening, during a meeting where each member responded to the roll call with a scripture verse, Bessie was absent.
    The Thought:
This absence sparked a powerful thought in Black: "What a sad thing it would be if our names are called in heaven and we are absent".
    The Writing:
After visiting Bessie (who was sick with pneumonia and later died), Black went home and, unable to find a suitable hymn on the subject, wrote "When the Roll Is Called Up Yonder" within fifteen minutes.
    The Impact:
The hymn was first published in 1894 in "Songs of the Soul". It has been translated into many languages and sung by various artists and denominations.

  • When the handwriting has not yet been interpreted, affliction will remain. And for every affliction that arises comes a hand behind it. This hand can either be the hand of God or the hand of the devil.
How do i mean? So, i am trying to say that the hand of God and that of the devil can write against a man?
Yes. Both the hand of God and the hand of the devil can rise against the man.

But for better understanding, let us dive into the school of the folk.

Let us hear from the volume of the book. For better understanding of how the hand of God can be against a man, let's check the book. Daniel, chapter 5.

Belshazzar, the king made a great feast to a thousand of his lords and drank wine before a thousand. While he tasted the wine, he commanded to bring the golden and silver vessels which his father Nebuchadnezzar had taken out of the temple which was in Jerusalem.

The king and his princes, his wives, and his concubines might drink from them. They brought the golden vessels that were taken out of the temple of God. The king ordered them to go and bring the vessels from the house of God so that they could use them to drink.

They drank wine and praised the gods of gold, silver, brass, iron, wood, and stone. What a dishonour from this king to God! King Belshazzar did not fear the Lord. He did not fear the sacred things of God. He thought because he's a king, he can do whatever he likes.

When any man begins to think because he has money, he's successful, he has some achievement and begins to mock and dishonour God, this kind of people are calling forth the wrath of God's hand upon their life. That you're successful does not mean you cannot experience the wrath of God's hand.

The king saw the handwriting, but the king could not read or interpret what the hand has written.
That you know that there is a hand against your life, that you know that there's a hand against your marriage, that you know that there's a hand against your business and your education does not necessarily stop the problem and the affliction.

The affliction and the problem can only stop when you can read and interpret the handwriting. Any man who is standing above God's hand, the hand of God will surely be against him. The Bible says that God resists the proud, he rejects them.

The hand of the Lord can be against a man by signing the handwriting of the evil ones. How you see in some cases, the devil needs the signature of God to afflict someone. It is not in every case that the devil just has the chance to go and meet a man and afflict them.

We have some Christians that they have so much walked with God that whatsoever the devil wants to do to them, he needs the permission of God to afflict them. For example, take the son Job. Job was a perfect man. He walked with God. He did not stay above the hand.

This is a call once again, where are you standing.
Are you on the Lord's side?
    God bless us all.

God's first mandate to humanity was to multiply and fill the earth—a global vision from the start.
