  • Ready or Not: Here He comes

    Phillippians 2:10-11 "That at the name of Jesus every knee will bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;
    And that every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is LORD, to the glory of God the Father."

    Christian, are you ready to stand before God and give an account of your life as Romans 14:12 says.

    Romans 14:12 "So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God."

    Are you ready for God's holy eyes to stare right through you and you have to give account for every drop of hate, divisiveness, unforgiveness, pride, every lie you told yourself, and every excuse that you would not let God change.

    Many Christians don't realize that we can call Jesus is Lord all day on Sunday, then live like the world the rest of the week. It is one thing to say He is Lord, but it is a whole another thing to live like it is true. Do we live Monday to Saturday like it is true?

    As people we are very stubborn and make up every excuses to not obey the Holy Spirit and His Word. We don't realize that when we call Jesus as Lord, we are saying He is in charge of our life. He sets the rules and expectations. Hence the reason He gave us the Life Manuel, the Bible. Due to the fact that Biblical literacy is at an all-time low, what do you think God is going to say to the average Christian that does not read His Bible and puts zero effort into having a personal daily relationship with Jesus?

    1 Peter 1:15-16 "But as he which hath called you IS holy, so be ye holy in all manner of lifestyle;
    Because it is written, You be Holy; because I am Holy."

    Many Christians hate the idea of a holy lifestyle, just for the fact they want to do what they want to do. What do you think God is going to say to them?

    Galatians 3:24 "Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith."

    We could not get saved by a list of do's and don'ts. How about we consider those born again Christians that have a sanctimonious and pharisaical attitude. They add a list of Manmade rules to determine who is a sanctified church member and who isn't. The entire book of Galatians is about not being hoodwinked back into dead man-made religion and their list of rules to make us good people. We are not able to make ourselves good. What makes us think we can in our own strength be able to live up to God's standard of holiness.

    Romans 12:1 "I beseech you therefore, fellow believers, by the abundant mercies of God, that you present your entire life as a sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service."

    Galatians 2:20 "I am sacrificed with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but I now live for Christ: and the Life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me."

    I am not able to describe every condition of Christian hearts, but I want to speak to every Christian and encourage you to evaluate your life and humbly sacrifice your lifestyle to the authority of Jesus Christ before you stand before Him.

  • Freedom in The Truth

    Psalm 9:8 "He shall judge the world in righteousness, And He shall administer judgment for the the peoples in uprightness."

    We are only responsible for ourselves. This is why I don't understand why people get so offended at what other people say and think. We all are accountable to the righteous judge. We will all stand before Him one day and He will evaluate us according to His holy standard. In our own strength, do you think anyone measures up? Nobody measures up, but Praise the Lord Jesus Christ made a way to become right with God.

    The problem now is that many people still listen to lies and push their opinions on other people. Praise the Lord that the truth sets us free from the lies, but how many people actually know the truth?

    John 14:6 "Jesus said to him, I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through me."

    There are so many lies about you, life, death, and eternity. Have you decided to reject the lies and chose to have eternal life through a relationship with Jesus Christ?

    Colossians 1:9-10 "For this reason we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding;
    that you may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God;"

    The Bible is our Life Manuel, given to us so that we can live in a way that is honoring and pleasing to God, but how many Christians actually seek to grow in knowledge and understanding and wisdom of the Truth?

    Ephesians 2:10 "For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them."

    As believers, God created us for a specific purpose. Based on scripture, do you know what your purpose is and are we fulfilling that purpose?

    Matthew 6:33 "But seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and then all these things shall be added unto you."

  • Hope for the unloved

    James 1:27 "Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world."

    Luke 18:16 "But Jesus called the children unto him, and said, Love the little children by allowing them to come unto me, and forbid them not: for as such is the kingdom of God."

    Are children a gift from God? Are they precious in God’s sight? Does every child have enough value to be loved by a family? This world is taking advantage of children constantly between trafficking, neglecting, abusing, the adrenechrome industry, etc. The world does not want the burden of loving children. Children require hard work because God put a heavy consequence for hurting children.

    Matthew 18:6 "But whosoever shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea."

    Children did not ask to be born. They are not responsible for the traumatic things that happen all the time in this world. God gives children parents. God has given His word to tell parents how to raise the next generation of people, but how many parents actually read and practice the instructions found in scripture for raising children? Children learn by watching adults. My son, Samuel is learning words by just listening to me speak. Even words I did not specifically say to him. The church is reproduced through our actions, not just our words.

    I recently heard a story of a pastor's son that was going to jail. The pastor was well known for a book He wrote. The judge asked him why he did not learn from his dad about consequences? The son ended up saying the dad did not have time for the son because He was writing the book. I have to wonder what God's response will be to Christian parents that do not love unconditionally and teach their children and all the children of the world. Of course, Christians will all say we care about children but How are we doing it?

    I have seen first hand of Christians say they love children but will show favoritism to blood and hate toward my other children. That is not love. There are 400,000 children in the foster care system and 100,000 ready to be adopted in America if not millions across the world. Literally, Christians could turn the world toward Christ by sacrificially giving hope to the unloved children of the world. If Jesus let the children come to him, why can't we love them too? The church is always so busy with building programs, writing books, getting people in the front door and many good things but how are we showing that we care about the most vulnerable: children that do not have loving parents?

  • Only God Can

    Romans 5:8 "But God commendeth His love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."

    Only God Can change the world. Recently I found in a movie and in a song, they were promoting salvation by water baptism.

    If we could get saved by being baptized , why did Jesus need to die and rise again? Obviously, He would not need to.

    Ephesians 2:8-9 "For by (unmerited) grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves (or your good deeds); it is the gift of God,
    not of works, lest anyone should boast."

    What good are our beliefs if they are based on lies? They must be based on the truth. We cannot live with God for eternity, except He gives us His righteousness to us as a gift. We cannot earn salvation. Baptism does not change anyone.

    Only God can change the world. In our own power, each and everyone of us is a filthy rotten sinner. None of us deserve God's love, grace, and mercy.

    It is true that God sent Christians into the world to show the Love of God to all, but that is not in our own strength. It is in the power of the gospel.

    Romans 1:16a "For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes,"

    What good are good deeds if they don't lead people to get right with God? Only God deserves worship.

    Matthew 5:16 "Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven."

    Lifestyle evangelism does not cut it if the world does not know we are empowered by the truth of the gospel.

    If we know you are saved according to the gospel, the world needs to hear it. GO TELL.
