Unlike the dead sacrifices of the Old Testament, a living sacrifice is ongoing, involving every aspect of our lives—our actions, decisions, and thoughts should all reflect our commitment to God. 3. Holy and Pleasing to God: Our lives should be set apart (holy) and aimed at pleasing God. This means living in a way that aligns with God's standards and desires, rather than seeking approval from the world. 4. Do Not Conform: Paul warns against conforming to the pattern of this world. The world's values often promote selfishness, materialism, and immorality. Conforming means adopting these values and behaviors, which are contrary to God's ways. 5. Be Transformed by the Renewing of Your Mind: Instead of conforming, believers are called to be transformed. This transformation happens through the renewing of our minds. As we immerse ourselves in God's Word and seek His guidance, our thoughts, attitudes, and behaviors begin to change. It's a continuous process of growth and renewal. 6. Test and Approve God's Will: As our minds are renewed, we gain the ability to discern God's will. This enables us to understand and pursue what is good, pleasing, and perfect in His sight.
