Are only certain believers supposed to heal?
If we all as believers can lay hands on the sick as Jesus told us to do, why did Paul say in 1 Corinthians 12: "there are diversities of gifts... to another the gifts of healings..." It almost sounds like he's saying it is to some and not to all to be able to do the things Jesus did, even though Jesus said if we believe, we will do all these things and even greater when He goes to the Father.

Answer:
Let me start with this statement. The words of Jesus are the Supreme Court of the universe. By that I mean, what Jesus says is the golden rule over everything.

Jesus said in Mark 16:17-18, "These signs will accompany those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; if they drink any deadly thing, it will not hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”

This Scripture, which is a statement made by Jesus, is clear. BELIEVERS are told to lay hands on the sick. Jesus did not say certain people who are given special gifts. Nor, did He say that only certain sick people would recover (be healed from their infirmities).

Every believer was told by Jesus to lay hands on the sick and the sick shall recover.

I just received an unexpected gift through the postal mail. I have no idea who it is from because there was no card. Yet I wanted to say a big THANK YOU to whomever sent it to me. I love it and I loved that you did not identify yourself, that makes the gift more precious to me. I do know that whomever sent it knows me pretty-well. <3

Trouble will not hurt us unless it does what many of us too often allow it to do, harden us, making us sour, bitter, and skeptical. But it need not be this way. Troubles we bear trustfully can bring us a fresh vision of God and a new outlook on life, an outlook of peace and hope.

If we make our troubles an opportunity to learn more of God's love and His power to aid and bless, then they will teach us to have a firmer confidence in His providence. As a result, the brightness of His love will fill our lives.

Learn to trust God with a child-like dependence on Him as your loving heavenly Father and no trouble can destroy you. In those darkest hours before the Cross Jesus could still say, "I am not alone, because the Father is with Me" (John 16:32).

The same is true for you. Even in that last dark hour of death, when your flesh and your heart fail, you will be able to depend in peace upon Him who "is the strength of my heart and my portion forever." _(Billy Graham)_

Oh my Lord, Sometimes,it seems I'm "in the fire." Things are hectic and I am being bombarded with trials and temptations, making my life not so easy.
I know You help me through all of these t fiery times. May I continue moving forward in advancing and enlarging territory for Your Kingdom.
Lord I pray that I will emerge a better person, a more faithful follower and disciple as I become a living testimony to Your grace.
I need Your strength, as I an assured in your word, because I cannot do it alone. Thank you,.This I pray , In Yeshua'/Jesus' name, So be it, Amen

Father God,
Thank you for the people you have placed in my life as mentors to look up to as examples. I pray that you would help me to live life in such a way, and to grow stronger in faith and more spiritually mature, so that I may be a godly example to others. Show me if there is someone who needs for me to be a mentor.

Minister through me to guide and instruct that person, to offer spiritual nurture and encouragement. Please forgive me for my sins and shortcomings; for the times I did not use the opportunities you gave me to the fullest and best.

Thank you for allowing me to start afresh today. In Your Son Yeshua'/Jesus' name, So be it, amen.

Father God,
Today I'm thinking about how people try so hard to be independent. We want to be individuals, to "do it myself." It starts when we are children. Then again, we are still children in your eyes, no matter what our age.
I realize that people really do need each other. We need to support one another emotionally, spiritually...and sometimes physically. We need accountability, and a true friend or loving family member so often provides that.
Help me to be willing to help and to be helped. May I be a loving member of the family of God. In Yeshua's/Jesus' name, So Be It Amen.
