PRAY FOR LOST PEOPLE TO BE SAVED!

GREETINGS, BROTHERS AND SISTERS! GRACE, MERCY, AND PEACE TO YOU, AND YOUR FAMILIES, FROM GOD OUR FATHER AND OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST, THROUGH HOLY SPIRIT!

I am reading the Old Testament. God wants us to read His Word, daily, and meditate on it. Do not feel you must read as much as I read; ask God to show you the reading plan He wants you to have. I read the Bible through, once a year. I start with Genesis, chapter 1, on January 1st, and continue until I have read all the way to Revelation 22. I read 10 chapters a day. It usually takes me almost to the end of April to read through. Then I reread the New Testament, monthly. At 10 chapters a day, it takes 26 days to read the New Testament through. And YES, God DOES speak to me, every day, through what I read, even though I read a lot. THE MOST IMPORTANT THING IS TO SPEND TIME ALONE WITH GOD, regardless of how much He leads you to read.

Today I read the story of David, in I Samuel 15-24. I am constantly amazed and astounded and awestruck over how many times the Israelites disobeyed God, and bowed down to worthless, dead idols, despite what God had done for them. The Israelistes SAW WITH THEIR OWN EYES how God parted the Red Sea, enabling them to walk over DRY land to the opposite side, and SAW WITH THEIR OWN EYES how God closed up the Red Sea on the Egyptian arm when they tried to cross, yet not soon afterwards they made a golden calf and worshipped IT, saying they should go back to slavery in Egypt!

Think about what it must have looked like, to all the Philistines and Israelites, when David and Goliath came against each other. David was a shepherd; even his brothers didn't have a favorable opinion of him. Goliath stood NINE AND A HALF FEET TALL (six cubits and a span) and was an EXPERIENCED warrior. Goliath, smug and overconfident in his strength and previous victories, probably believed he could dispath David with one stroke. BUT GOD WANTED EVERYONE TO KNOW THAT IT WAS HIM WHO KILLED GOLIATH, NOT DAVID! All David did was sling one stone (I've heard other commentators say that perhaps David knew that Goliath had 4 brothers, and the extra stones were for them), and it sank into Goliath's forehead. ONLY GOD COULD HAVE ACCOMPLISHED THAT.
Yet the Philistines still didn't believe. Later, we see how the Philistines captured the Ark of the Covenant,a nd took it home. God afflicted the men of the city with tumors (some commentators say they were hemorrhoids), and so they sent the Ark back on a cart pulled by 2 cows who went WITHOUT HUMAN GUIDANCE back to where the Israelites were living.

But some of us are doing the same things! We try to understand God and His ways with our own strength and understanding. It's hard to rejoice when things are hard, and when we experience pain and suffering. BUT GOD HAS A PLAN! God CAN be trusted!

PROVERBS 3:5-6
Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and lean not unto your own understanding. In all your ways, acknowledge Him, and He will direct thy paths.

I'm interested in hearing from my brothers and sisters who have been redeemed by God's incredibly awesome and limitless love, grace, mercy, and forgiveness, the Blood of Jesus, and the power of Holy Spirit, out of lives that were "messier" than others. Example: before you were saved, you were engaging in homosexual sin. But now, you stand on 2 Corinthians 5:17 - "Therefore if any man (or woman) is in Christ, he (or she) is a new creation; old things are passed away; behold all things have become new."

PROVERBS 3:5-6
Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways, acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.

PSALM 23:5 "You prepare for me a table in the presence of mine enemies; You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows."
Our Lord Jesus Christ, The Good Shepherd, PURPOSELY supplies our every need in ways that our enemies can see, because He died for them, too, and He WANTS to be THEIR Lord and Savior, too! While we're at the table the Lord has prepared for us, let's throw some food to those around us!

I Thessalonians 5:16 "Rejoice evermore."

PHILIPPIANS 4:4
"REJOICE IN THE LORD, ALWAYS; AND AGAIN I SAY, REJOICE!"
Why? Because (if Jesus Christ is your Lord and Savior) we have been made alive in Christ! We have been taken our of the kingdom of darkness and put into the Kingdom of God! We are no longer on our way to hell; we are FORGIVEN, of ALL our sins, and on our way to Heaven! GLORY HALLELUJAH!

I need prayer. God is dealing with me. I will glorify our Lord God for what He is doing! I have sinned. I have confessed to my pastor and son-in-law.

I was in the hospital, for 7 days, earlier this month. I'm at home, recovering. I had internal bleeding, which has stopped, and the doctors are keeping an eye on it. My hemoglobin is at 9.2; it needs to be at least 15 or 16. I'm very tired and weak. I use a walker to get around. Please pray for my recovery. God is good! God has assured me there is a purpose in this, and I will trust Him!

WE NEED TO DOUBLE DOWN ON OUR PRAYING! I'm not saying that my brothers and sisters here on this site are not praying, or are repeating memorized phrases, etc. Most, if not all, of you, on this site, are "2nd-mile" sons and daughters of God! You love God with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength, and you depend on Holy Spirit to love your neighbors as yourselves! God is able to pour out His incredibly awesome and exceedingly abundant love, grace, mercy, and forgiveness through you all, because you haven't created any dams, hindering the flow!
But WE STILL NEED TO INCREASE THE TIME WE PRAY, AND FOCUS ON THE SALVATION OF THE LOST! THE UNITED STATES MAY FALL, BECAUSE MANY PEOPLE HAVE TURNED THEIR BACKS ON GOD, AND GOD IS STEPPING BACK AND LETTING THE PEOPLE OF THE UNITED STATES REAP WHAT THEY'VE SOWED! IF WE FOCUS ON GETTING THE GOSPEL OUT, MANY PEOPLE WILL BE SAVED, WHO WOULD OTHERWISE GO TO HELL, AND THAT'S THE BEST AND ONLY WAY TO CHANGE THE WORLD WITH LASTING RESULTS!
