Had a colleague at work approach me and was concerned that I was being taken advantage of by releasing a book I wrote for free to students. I calmly explained to him that when we serve the Lord we should not commercialize nor request worldly compensation for what we do. I write as an act of service not as a means of living. Every student whose life the holy spirit changes because of his words through me is all the compensation that I want. This isn't about me, it's about what he has called me to do. I'm not worried about surviving for the Lord provides me enough, what I am worried about is remaining still when I am commanded to move, remaining silent when I am commanded to speak. Ultimately what I am worried about is being disobedient to he who gave me everything when I found myself on the ground with seemingly nothing. He and the work he has called me to do is all that matters to me. Thus, I move forth in obedience not questioning fearlessly into this embodied existence.

The more time I spend on campus the more I've come to realize just much we need to keep our hearts open for the hurting youth in our world. I came across a young man dealing with self image challenges. We spoke and talked about scripture and prayed. I just wish I could do more for him and others like him but I take comfort in knowing the Lords hand is in all of this. I would appreciate it if everyone could lift him up in prayer his name is Travis .

Spending time at one of my favorite spots on campus, the servant fountain. These grounds are my refuge in a world which has become so lost. I am so thankful that the Lord led me here. I am finally home and finally fulfilling my lifelong dream to serve my fellow brothers and sisters.
