Okay, brothers and sisters. My age and mostly mileage is catching up. Though I prefer working outside, I'm starting to have to take cooling breaks, or hoping a break comes soon because I'm hurting. Still worried about going full-time ministry, but I know that's where God is wanting me, to use my experiences for the Glory of God.

An unprepared Christian in a debate is like a giving a waiter a sword and sending him off into battle. He knows about swinging the sword, and that's about it. The unprepared Christian can quote scripture like the best, but without preparation, has no understanding or wisdom in his usage.
Let's go prepared.

On Christ, the solid rock I stand; all other ground is sinking sand, all other ground is sinking sand.

I can recall one morning, security for a bank, standing outside in the parking lot. I turned south to face an entourage of men in black suits, behind a limo, surrounding a few men and young lady in gym suits. "Heading to McDonald's again," came through my head. I know that to see this man in that group was difficult, to simple speak to him was through great hurdles, and to shake his hand was much beyond reach.
Nicodemus fell short naturally, because of his stature and meeting the glory of God (Rom 3.23), he hid in a tree, and raised himself up to see the Christ. Despite all this, he was able to approach Jesus because he was called upon. He climbed himself down from his own works, and answered the call. The Word of God in flesh called on him. Amen!

But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

The thief on the cross is a great example of salvation. If he was to have lived, how would he fit into our churches today?

Sometimes we all need a swift kick on the backside to help us realize when we have done wrong. The Spirit of God is constantly with us, if we continue to not listen, eventually we will be kindly given that wake-up call. Are we listening?

I surrendered to the ministry of God in 1982, then backslid some years later. I returned to God's way in the earlier 2000s. My preaching is different because I glean from my experiences in farming, some ranching, carpentry and construction, private security and investigations, military service, and being a parent and grandfather. Though I have managed a business, I have learned more from having a small business. Thank God for His miracles providing safety throughout the years. Jesus Christ is Lord and King.

Mine heart within me is broken because of the prophets; all my bones shake; I am like a drunken man, and like a man whom wine hath overcome, because of the LORD, and because of the words of his holiness. Jeremiah 23:9
