Summary of yesterday's bible Study I have to keep this in the left part of my heart to remain evergreen in my mind. A dead man cannot react or obey any cravings, desires of the flesh, immoral acts and lust. For a believer to be ruled by the Spirit and not by the flesh he/she has to be dead to the flesh. Does this mean you will kill your flesh or senses? No! It is simple, reckon yourself to be dead to the flesh. Just like a dead man can't be controlled by the flesh, he who is dead to the flesh can't be overcome by the flesh. You find yourself doing what you always avoid doing or what you wish you should have overcome try doing this daily and at all times you are tempted: ✅ Reckon that you are dead to that particular addiction and helped by God to overcome it. ✅ Starve your flesh to feed your Spirit by replacing seeing long movies with listening to messages and seeing enlightening videos that nourish your Spirit man. ✅ Replacing sleep and too much eating with vigils and fasting. ✅ Replacing gossip with praying and meditating.
