Why Are You Fighting Someone Who Is Not Fighting You?* Two men, Chifundo and Samu lived in neighboring villages. For as long as anyone could remember, their families had been sworn enemies. The animosity had been passed down through generations, with each side convinced that the other was to blame for the bitter feud. One sunny afternoon, Chifundo was working in his field when Samu walked by, humming a tune. Chifundo, fueled by years of hatred, took it as an opportunity to stir up trouble. He confronted Samu shouting insults and accusations. Samu, taken aback, tried to explain that he meant no harm, but Chifundo wouldn't listen. The argument escalated, and soon both men were fighting, punching and kicking each other. Villagers rushed to intervene, but not before both men were badly bruised. As they sat on opposite sides of the village elder's hut, nursing their wounds, the elder asked Chifundo, "Why are you fighting someone who is not fighting you?" Chifundo looked puzzled. "He's been part of the problem for years," he replied. The elder turned to Samu, "Did you provoke Kofi in any way?" Samu shook his head. "No, I was just walking by, singing. I didn't even see him." The elder looked at Chifundo and said, "You're fighting because of past hurts and assumptions. But Samu wasn't fighting you. He wasn't even looking at you. The enemy isn't always the person in front of you; sometimes it's our own perceptions and unresolved pain." Chifundo and Samu looked at each other, both feeling a sense of shame and regret. They began to talk, sharing their stories and listening to each other's perspectives. The ice was slowly broken, and a bridge of understanding was built. From that day forward, Chifundo and Samu worked together to heal the wounds of their families and villages. They became an example of forgiveness and reconciliation, showing that sometimes, the bravest thing to do is to put down our defenses and listen. The villagers would often say, "Why fight someone who isn't fighting you?" And the answer would be, "Because sometimes, we need to confront our own demons before we can find peace." IT’S BEEN GOD EVER SINCE #KingdomStreamsTv# Leo Butao As I sat in the quiet darkness, tears streaming down my face, I couldn't help but wonder why. Why did this happen? Why did I lose my way? But then, like a gentle whisper, I heard His voice. 'I've been with you all along, Leo.' I thought back to the moments that seemed darkest, the moments I felt alone and adrift. "The Fisherman's Faith Leo, a seasoned fisherman, had spent his entire life on the water, trusting God for his daily catch. One day, a severe storm rolled in, and Leo's boat was tossed about like a toy. As the waves crashed against the boat, Leo cried out to God, "Lord, I've served you faithfully all these years. Please, don't let me perish in these waters!" Just then, a strong gust of wind blew, and Leo felt an unseen force holding the boat steady. He looked up to see a figure standing beside him – Jesus. "Why are you afraid, Leo?" Jesus asked. Leo replied, "I've never seen a storm like this before." Jesus smiled and said, "You've never seen My power like this before either." With that, Jesus stretched out His hand, and the storm subsided. The sun broke through the clouds, and Leo's boat was filled with an abundance of fish. Leo realized that God's presence was with him all along, even in the midst of turmoil. He learned to trust God's sovereignty, knowing that His power is greater than any storm. # "Reflection" Are you facing a storm in your life? Remember, God is always with you, holding your boat steady. Trust in His power, and have faith that He will see you through the turbulent waters. # "Scripture" - "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose." - Romans 8:28 - "When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze." - Isaiah 43:2

She had just received a text from her Father who is a Pastor, reminding her of the verse from Romans 8:28 - "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose." Just then, her cellphone rang, shrill in the silence. It was a call from an unknown number. Miracle hesitated, wondering if she should answer. But something prompted her to pick up. On the other end was a stranger, calling from Limbe he was on his way going to Chilobwe a nearby town with Miracles town (Chimwankhunda). He told Miracle that he had been driving by her village when his car broke down. With no one in sight, he had wandered into the nearby woods, feeling lost and alone. As he walked, he stumbled upon a small clearing and saw a Bible lying open on a rock. The verse from Romans 8:28 stared back at him, speaking directly to his heart. He felt a surge of hope and knew he had to find the owner of the Bible. Miracle listened, amazed, as the stranger told her how he had found her number written in the margins of the Bible. He asked if she could come and bring help. Without hesitation, Miracle set out, following the GPS on her cellphone to the stranger's location. When she arrived, she found him standing by his car, looking relieved. As they waited for help to arrive, Miracle shared her faith with the stranger, telling him of God's love and redemption. The stranger listened intently, his heart opening to the message. When help finally came, the stranger thanked Miracle and asked if he could come to her church the following Sunday. Miracle smiled, knowing that God had used her Bible and cellphone to bring someone new into their community. From that day on, the stranger became a regular member of their church, and Mary knew that the ringing call of faith had brought them together in a way that would change their lives forever. ... (the story continues as before until the stranger starts attending Miracle's church) One Sunday, the stranger stood up in front of the congregation to testify. He shared how God had used Miracle's Bible and cellphone to bring him to their community. But then he added a powerful warning: "Dear brothers and sisters, I want to share something with you. This cellphone that brought me to Christ can also be a tool of destruction if not used wisely. I've seen how it can make us arrogant, ignoring those right in front of us while we stare at screens. I've seen how it can connect us with people who don't have our best interests at heart, people who can lead us astray." He paused, looking around the room. "Let us use our phones to spread love, kindness, and the Gospel. Let us not forget the people right in front of us, our neighbors, our family, and our friends. Let us be mindful of who we connect with online and what we share. Our phones can be a powerful tool for good or evil. Let us choose to use them for God's glory." The congregation was moved by his words, and many nodded in agreement. Miracle smiled, knowing that the stranger's testimony would have a lasting impact on their community. From that day on, the church made a conscious effort to use their phones wisely, sharing messages of hope and encouragement, and being mindful of their online interactions. What God Cannot Do Does Not Exist Leo and Butao sat on a bench overlooking the serene lake, enjoying the warm sunrise. Leo: "Butao, I've been struggling with doubts lately. There's so much suffering in the world... how can God allow it?" Butao: "Leo, my friend, God's ways are not our ways. We can't see the bigger picture, but He can." Leo: "But what about those who pray and still suffer? What about the ones who seem forgotten?" Butao: "Leo, remember the story of Lazarus? Jesus could have prevented his death, but He had a greater plan. Sometimes, God's 'no' or 'wait' is not a lack of power, but a demonstration of His love." Leo: "I never thought of it that way. But what about things that seem impossible?" Butao: "Ah, that's where faith comes in! 'What God cannot do does not exist.' If God says it, He will do it. Our part is to trust and obey." Leo: "You're right, Butao. I needed to hear this. My faith was wavering." Butao: "Mine too, at times. But remembering God's promises and sovereignty always brings me back to solid ground."
