Annie Phillip’s My High Point (including a special tour on HPU’s campus)
Come join us on a journey through My High Point’s video series sharing a day in the life of local Annie Phillips. Annie takes us on a very special and personal behind the scenes look at her typical day in High Point and shares what she loves about the city. Annie begins her day at Burn Boot Camp where she is able to find some focus and plan her day. From there, Annie heads to work at High Point University where she is the Director of Student Affairs of the Fred Wilson School of Pharmacy at High Point University. This special tour of High Point University gives us a glimpse into what it’s like to work on campus, and the sense of community you will find there. Stops include the Kester International Promenade, the Fred Wilson School of Pharmacy, Cottrell Hall: Home to the Flanagan Center for Student Success and the Starbucks inside. Annie then takes a stroll down Main Street where she passes local favorites like Just Priceless, 83 Custom Coffee and Sweet Old Bills.
David and Abby Williams
David and Abby Williams, longtime High Point locals, show us their High Point. David, a furniture designer and studio owner, has spent his life building a successful design career in High Point’s thriving furniture industry. He explains it’s no surprise that people travel from all over the world to make the most of High Point’s furniture industry opportunities, like the Bienenstock Library, the largest furniture specialty library in the world. Abby and David, however, have done more than build their family’s business in High Point; they’ve built their home. From starting their day at the High Point Medical Center Fitness Center to partnering across the city with their church, First Baptist Church of High Point, Abby and David have seen how High Point is a city that values community. Join them as they savor time at some of their favorite High Point spots like 83 Custom Coffee and Blue Water Grille.

Daniel Gray, owner of Uncle Cheesecake, takes us through a typical day in his life as a High Point local, business owner, and dad. Daniel loves to stay active, and our city helps him do just that – from exercising at the local YMCA to kayaking at the beautiful Oak Hollow Lake . As a successful entrepreneur of two businesses, Daniel also shares how he partners with Guilford Technical Community College to speak to students on topics like business ownership and philanthropy. He also highlights some of his favorite places to grab a bite in our city, like Mediterranean food for lunch from Odeh’s or a bowl of Pho for dinner at 98 Asian Bistro .
