Are you ready to ignite transformation in your community? Your journey starts NOW!

LIT is always looking to connect and build with young people, elected officials and candidates, partner organizations and active citizens. We encourage all who want to get involved with LIT to sign up for our newsletter and follow us on our social media channels.

Get Involved

Youth Organizers

The best way for youth activists and organizers to get involved with LIT is by becoming a LIT member, following us on our social media channels and signing up for our newsletter. We also offer fellowship opportunities for high school and college members. Our paid fellowship model identifies and molds Wisconsin’s next wave of social and civic leaders and activists. We offer comprehensive leadership and career development training, in addition to providing fellows with hands-on organizing experiences at their schools and within their communities.

Partner Organizations

LIT values opportunities to partner with organizations working to advance a representative democracy that includes and prioritizes youth voices. If you’re interested in partnering with LIT on efforts to increase voter engagement and protect access to the U.S. democracy in 2024, please fill out this form to contact us. We are always open to new, creative partnership ideas.

Volunteers

Individual volunteers are critical to supporting our work and making the promise of democracy real for all of us. There are many ways to get involved with LIT as a volunteer, including by:

  • Signing up to phone bank, text bank or canvass with LIT
  • Participating in our Relational Voter Program by registering and educating your personal networks
  • Becoming a research volunteer for the College Organizing Department
  • Volunteering your unique professional or personal services
  • Leading a “skillshare” Zoom call with our community organizers on various topics (e.g., art, design, legal, writing, promoting)
