For vmware jfs is best file system and for / partation ext3 is best. you can enable reiserfs,jfs,xfs for cent os by following url
centos-jfs-xfs-resierfs-how-to
command is yum –enablerepo=centosplus install kernel

Ok,Don;t use reiserfs3 on host os while using vmware. it has known bug, but reiserfs4 is ok.
I am thinking what would be best file system for vmware on linux? jfs,ext3 or reiserfs? any one suggest me – just add comment here with your fav file system

Yup – nagios – wonderful remote host/server monito tool. But it is little bit complex to configure. Today i got one cute freeware opensource php based host monitor that is monarch it is gui to nagios. its very easy to configure now. now you can get ready to start vmware virtual box image at vmware.com it means download file, start using free vmware player. you can monitor hunderds of hosts with very advanced options Freely.
Now iam using this nagios tool to monito my online virtual unix boxes..cool…thanks to opensource
