In-class Library Instruction

Who can book Library Instruction?

Library instruction is available for students and academic staff.

  • Academic staff instructors can request library instruction for students in their course.
  • Academic staff can request library instruction for themselves and others in their unit or department (ex. department meetings or staff retreats).
  • Students can request instruction that takes place outside of a course for groups of 5 or more (ex. campus groups or clubs, study groups, …). For consultations regarding individual or group research projects please book an appointment.

Where does Library Instruction take place?

UofL Librarians can offer instruction in-person or remotely (including synchronous and asynchronous options).

  • Lethbridge Campus – your class or ours. The computer lab in L950 has 30 computers and can accommodate up to 40 people.
  • Calgary Campus – remote instruction is the primary mode of delivery; however, in-person instruction can occasionally be arranged with enough notice.
