Services: Open Access Search

A guide to library services for students, faculty, staff, and community

JJC Library Resources Welcome

Open Access Search

While community members, alumni, and friends of Joliet Junior College don't have full student library privileges, there are still several valuable ways to access quality research materials through JJC Library services.

The JJC Discovery Tool (Card Catalog) allows anyone to search and find open access resources - scholarly materials that are freely available online without any login requirements. These include academic journals, books, reports, and educational materials.

The A-Z Databases List is another important resource. Patrons without official JJC credentials can access most of the databases on the list on campus. Many databases on the A-Z Database List are available to Illinois users through the Illinois State Library. For more information about Illinois State Library databases and instructions, please visit: Open Access and Freely Available Resources: Illinois State Library.
