ECC Library offers a variety of services for Distance Learning and online students and classes.
The following services are available for any course with a Desire2Learn (D2L) course site:
- Embedded Librarians - Librarians will provide information literacy instruction in the D2L environment to post resources and answer research and citation questions.
- Online research guides - Customized online guides steer students to the quality resources for their assignments or specific course readings and resources
- Asynchronous Online Modules - Customized online modules combine a variety of resources and learning objects to allow students to meet specific information literacy learning objectives. These modules are asynchronous and allow students to work through them on their own timeline. Asychronous Online Module example.
- Video tutorials - Provides customized information literacy instruction to students at their convenience and can cover a variety of different information literacy topics.
- Virtual Reference Appointments - Customized individual research help through electronic means.
- D2L Information Literacy Modules - These downloadable modules consist of a video tutorial and quiz and can be easily imported as a quiz into any D2L course site. They are also customizable for your specific class needs.
