Thank you for thinking of the Elgin Community College Library for your gently used books. We are happy to consider your items for the collection. Please note, however, that ours is a primarily academic collection. Its purpose is to support the curricula of the College. Many donated items are not suitable for that collection. Your donated items will be evaluated by a librarian and if determined to be inappropriate for our particular library they will be discarded.

If you would like to try libraries with broader collections who might be more likely to add your books to their collections you could consider other academic and public libraries. Two of the nearby libraries are listed below. Other libraries can be found easily via Google. Please know that even if you are not part of a public library district a nearby library might be happy to receive your donated items.
