A melody came to my consciousness, and I listened for a while. Then I realized it was my alarm clock, so I rolled over, groggy with sleep, and silenced it.
I am not a morning person, so there is no good way for me to wake up for work. An obnoxious sound would cause anxiety, and a more soothing one will have me oversleeping.
My wife hits the snooze button on her alarm so many times that when mine goes off; I am not sure what’s happening. I don’t know if it’s hers or mine, what day it is, or how long it has been playing its little tune.
