Well that didn’t last long…

So, I was quickly sidetracked by the barrage of fall activities with my newly 4 yr old. My anniversary, my baby girl’s birthday, fall and Halloween activities galore, and suddenly their was no time to draw ink art for InkTober. Sigh. I wasn’t sure I would make it and I decided beforehand not to be too hard on myself. I was able to paint a few rocks to hide and decided on a new addition to this catch-all blog I’m running here. I will be adding some book reviews for some of my favorite books in a new category. Thanks for following along 🙂

Exorbitant Dental Costs Harm Grandmother’s Health organized by LearaWrites (Nicole)

I created this gofundme for my mother. Please consider contributing. Even a small donation could help reach the fundraising goal. And if you can’t make a donation, it would be great if you could share the fundraiser to help spread the word.

Welcome to the Night

This is the first time Ali (my 3 yr old) asked me to reread a poem multiple times because she liked it. This poem is from a lovely book called Dark Emperor & Other Poems of the Night by Joyce Sidman and beautiful artwork by Rick Allen. The poem she likes is called Welcome to the Night.

Rock Art Rocks

And now a brief break from April’s poetry barrage to bring you a few pictures of one of my other hobbies, rock painting.

I do rock painting, hiding and hunting around town when I have time.

My three-year old has even got involved.
