Demons take many forms.
Former saints join the ranks,
Ranking often higher than original sinners.
Inner darkness takes hold.
Old faith breaks despite the length of time.
I’m no exception, quite the contrary.
Very unsuspecting, I fell victim easily.
Silly mistake but wiser for it.
It would be wise for you to watch out for me now.

greater a saint,
the sinner be;
when sins,
falls the deepest.

There’s something quite dark and final about this. Can you tell me more about what it is about?

I usually like to leave things open for interpretation. I do believe though that these are the words of a fallen saint, perhaps a warning about things that lurk, that will drag you down if you aren’t paying attention, and that perhaps this fallen saint has become one of those things. 🙂

I like letting my readers draw their own conclusions to. Great job.

I like the darkness of this, how the line “Silly mistake but wiser for it.” turns us back to the title. Eyes opened, a tale of the Fall.

Hi Leara! I like the wolf in sheep’s clothing theme you’ve written about here, especially how you have the voice address it directly in the command of the last line.

Demons are always meant to be tempting. It’s kind of their thing. Good one!
