2020-2021 Teacher Report Card Results

I’ve been using the same base of a survey for years. Here are my previous results: 2016 2017 2018 2019 2020. I’ve slowly been adding and taking away certain questions. I’m striving to get feedback that I can actually use and that I care about.

Here’s the survey I used this year (It will force you to make a copy): https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1UIA_j9FCekEm3Ye96qIRjHzQD4VJFH4YzCv_rK9neq8/copy?usp=sharing

*Disclaimer: These results are being published because I like to go back and review them and see how things have changed/improved throughout the years. The rest of this post probably won’t be too useful for readers who aren’t me, but feel free to read if you wish! Reflection will be coming at a later date; these are merely raw results.

  • don’t leave unnecessary comment under stuff like, “…you’re making this harder than it is”
  • they never made sure that some students understood what she was teaching and kind of left some students including me hanging and just figure out ourselves.
  • Speaking in monotone
  • Using EdPuzzle
  • Not allowing food or drinks
  • having higher expectations for kids that turn in their work more often. I would get a D- on an assignment less then a week late because it was late while my friends who were missing every assignment got full credit for something due a month ago.
  • abandon or give up on a student
F was 2 (2.9%)

Anything else you want to say to Mrs. Grayson?

  • Thanks for having me as a student.
  • I know this is supposed to be anonymous butt this is h**** and i wanted to say you are a very good teacher and are always helping me when i need it. Im glad i got to have you for 2 years, also i think it definetly helped me with being online to have a teacher i already had before and i wish i had you again next year but thank you for teaching me so much about math i appreciate it!
  • good bye
  • Thanks for being a great teacher!
  • have a good summer, and i will miss you!!
  • Your an amazing teacher and im glad i got you
  • no more quadratic song 😉 bye Mrs Grayson ❤
  • You are an amazing teacher.
  • Your my favorite math teacher!
  • It’s clear she has a strong passion for teaching and for math. It’s just a shame that unfortunately a lot of students simply just don’t care. They didn’t come to class, they didn’t come to online class, they didn’t do the work, etc. Those students just can’t see that school affects their future – getting into college, getting a good job, establishing a good work ethic, etc. I just don’t think you can help someone who doesn’t give a hoot, that is just biding their time till they are out of school – if they even graduate.
  • You are a good teacher
  • Thank you for teaching me this year, I can imagine how difficult the transition is and I appreciate how hard you’ve worked this school year to make sure I am successful!
  • Keep being a great teacher! I think you really care about kids and love teaching, and in the world we are living in today that could really help some kids out down the road!
  • Thank you for being a great teacher 🙂
  • I would like to say Thank You for all you have done for me while I was in your class! You were a very helpful teacher.
  • Thank you for making sure that i passed your class and making sure i was doing something to get my grade up, I hope that you have an amazing summer!
  • Thank you for how well you’ve done through the pandemic, I know it’s not easy! 🙂
  • Have a good summer
  • nope, have a good summer!
  • thank you so much for a few last year and always sending messages and responding back when i had problems appreciate it alot
  • Thank you for this fun year in class!!!
  • have a good summer
  • have a great summer
  • Thank you for doing your absolute best to teach me this year. 🙂
  • Thank you for doing your best to teach me this year. You were a fun teacher.
  • the only reason i feel like my math skills declined is because of forgetting things because of covid and less class time. You did the best of all my teachers during the weird year and i will miss having you as a math teacher next year 😦
  • you are a great teacher
  • Thank you
  • I appreciated having you as a teacher.
  • Nope. 🙂
  • Thank you so much for making math and the school year enjoyable!
  • i hope you keep teaching so my children could have you as a teacher

  • Thank you for making this year memorable and making sure that if I needed help with something that I reached out to you. Your class was one that I truly enjoyed going to and doing the assignments for and you were one of the only teachers that were always easy to get in touch with!
  • hiiiiiiiiiii
  • hi, enjoy this animal band🎶🐌🎺🎵🎷🐛🎶🎤🐤🎵📯🐢🎶
  • I will miss you next year!
  • Having you as a teacher was great as you pushed me to actually learn the lesson and always make sure to check up on me to see whether i´m struggling with the lessons or not. Not only you make me want to attend your class everyday and having fun but seeing you as a teacher teaches me some of teacher qualities that I should use when i become one.
  • Thank you for making my final year great 🙂 I’ll miss you!
  • thank you!! i wish it could have been a normal year i would have thrived so much more. i just had a rough start and couldn’t get my motivation back
  • have a nice summer!!!!
  • thank you so much for this year, i know i have had a couple down times but you really helped me out by talking to me and being understandable, you will never know how much you mesn to me as a teacher. Thank you so much
  • no 🙂
  • Sorry for being absent from classes and performing so poorly this year I think it was just being home due to COVID that just killed any drive to learn or even perform subpar just wasn’t a fun year due to being outside the class
  • Thank you for being understanding. Have a great summer!
  • You handled remote learning the best out of all my teachers and you were very lenient and helpful. Will miss having you as a math teacher next year. the only reason i think my math skills declined is just because of the pandemic and forgetting a lot and less class time, nothing you’re doing.
  • Thank you for all the hard work you’ve put in to try and make this class feel like a safe space. Your hard work does not go unnoticed and I am happy to be your student.
  • Although this last year was hectic beyond measure, thank you! Thank you for your hard work, late nights/early mornings, and your patience with me personally haha!

Ces étudiants me manqueront vraiment après une année incroyablement fou.

Math Class Memes!

Inspired by Howie and his amazing math memes, I followed the rising trend of giving an assignment to g

By the way, check out Howie’s memes here: https://howiehua.wordpress.com/category/memes/

I set up my Google Classroom assignment like this. I used some rules I found online after some Google searches.

Here’s the Google Slides template I gave them if they wanted to use it.

This was my unoriginal meme to grab some attention:

Some created their memes on Canva: https://www.canva.com/create/memes/

Aaaaaand here are the memes. Enjoy! There are some that even I don’t understand but they’re all included anyway.
