Many moons ago, I wrote to friends and assured them I had reached my trip’s goal: to travel overland from the US to Ecuador. In my cramped, minuscule writing on the backs of postcard, I said:
By thumb, by bus, by train, by plane, by boat – and, yes, even some hoofing– I made it!
Over the decades of journeying through the Americas, from Alaska to Tierra del Fuego, I have continued to travel by these means of transport – and even by oxcart and other untypical rides.
So, come – join me in these adventures of traveling from Point A to Point B.
