So, came home to this in my inbox:

I got Mordechai's ashes back on Saturday, and they put him in a very handsome blue urn with a little gold ribbon and name tag. The apartment's different without him, it's weird. One thing I miss every day is Mordy waiting for me on the toilet while I shower...kind of funny, huh? Other than that life's been okay. At least I still have Herschel. (Lol @ his cone. He has to keep it on until where he was neutered heals.)

Sooo, yeah, long story short I've paid about $750 in miscellaneous vet fees this week. My kitty Mordechai is sick - the vet thinks it's an inflammation in his intestines. He's really weak, I have to force feed him and keep him hydrated and cool because he has a fever, and have to give him three different medications.

To help pay this bill, I'm offering to do $5 commissions - I'll draw you whatever you want! It'll be coloured and I'll try my best to make it something you're glad you spent money on. ($5 is the minimum, if you can spare more, I'd be grateful, but it's not expected.) Comment here for my Paypal and/or information, or send me a PM.

My main goal (before I can even think about the higher costs) is to pay for the meds, which were $32, $28, and $19, so every little bit counts!

UPDATE: This morning (June 20), things took a bit of a turn for the worst. I took Mordechai to the vet for a check-up, they assessed his health and told me that they don't really know what's wrong. The sickness happened so suddenly, and there are so many things that could be wrong. A few of the potential illnesses were fatal, and others required hundreds of dollars worth of tests and medications. Rather than bide time and have Mordy suffer, I took the hit and had him put down :(

Thanks to those who have commissioned and are planning on commissioning! Although Mordechai isn't with me now, your money is still helping to cover the meds I gave him, as well as his cremation.

That pretty much sums up how I feel about today. Ugh.

I can't wait to be four pillows to the breeze* tomorrow night when I go out with Ray and our friends and listen to Black Belt Jones at the Brass Door, and I'll order a whole pitcher of cider for myself.

*How good was Sunday's episode of Family Guy!? Right!?

Holy shit, Hanson still exists :O I want to hate that fact...but their new music video is shot-for-shot my favourite scene from The Blues Brothers (with some obvious extensions since the Hanson song is 4 minutes long)...and Weird Al is playing the tambourine!

I have a migraine and feel like crap, but this sort of makes me feel good. Even though I still don't care for Hanson and Dan Aykroyd and John Belushi are much more attractive.

After work tonight I went out with mom to see Michael Jackson's This Is It. Maybe it's just because the theatre was freezing cold, but I got chills! Looks like it would have been a hell of a concert. I loved the newly-filmed videos for Smooth Criminal and Thriller...and the cherry-picker footage was kind of adorable X3 Cool stuff.

The Gate is getting a special-edition DVD release! I mean, I've never complained about my $2 bare-bones bargain-bin Gate DVD before, but I'm pretty stoked for an updated fancy-pants version.

I don't know how I feel about a 3D remake of The Gate, though. When did they announce that? I've never heard of it...(Though I can't honestly be surprised, can I?)

OOHHH MY GOD I REMEMBER THESE TOYS! I had them all, haha! Though I definitely forgot that they'd come from McDonalds. Oh man, McDonalds toys used to be so cool back in the day.
