Making Sense of the Senses

Sammi Cox Weekend Writing Prompt #458-Sensibility

You Touched Me – WDYS

What Do You See

Once upon a time we were lovers
We knew no guilt nor shame
Rapture I felt when you touched me
But now I’m no longer the same

You touched me you touched me
Over my body you’d stroll
Something happened and now I know
You only wanted my bank roll

I will never love another
Through the mirror of time I will pass
But I only see fingers of a fool
And now I need to clean this glass

You touched me you touched me
Your heart black as coal
I no longer love you
And me you no longer control

One Word Sunday – Touch

I curse the day I saw you
I curse the day we met
I curse the day I gave you one little thought

I curse the day we spoke
I curse the day we touched
I curse the day that your little lies I bought

Cactus
Spiny prickles
Razor sharp sting if touched
Irritating thorns in fingers
Barbed plant

The Sense of You

senseofyou

I feel the comfort of your arms though we’re far apart
The warmth of your hug the beating of your heart

Your tenderness and passion transcend through the miles
Sooth all my pain ease all my trials

I sense your fond caress your touch seems so near
My daydreams and fantasies envision you are here

You are all I desire I can’t imagine more
But I long for the day when you come through my door

Curses

curse

I curse the day I saw you
I curse the day we met
I curse the day I gave you one little thought

I curse the day we spoke
I curse the day we touched
I curse the day that your little lies I bought
