At the 2025 City of Justice Awards Dinner, we had the honor of gathering with our community to celebrate unwavering champions of justice: Jennifer A. Abruzzo, Former NLRB General Counsel, now Of Counsel at Bush Gottlieb ALC and Special Advisor to the President at CWA; Roxana Tynan, Executive Director Emerita and Senior Advisor at LAANE; California Teachers Association; and The Legacy of Steve Schapiro, The Late American Photojournalist.

These visionary leaders embody the dedication and bold direction that have transformed our movements and brought meaningful change to the lives of working people across the country. We are grateful to them and also to our remarkable community of supporters—your generosity drives our mission forward.

The premier progressive event in California, the City of Justice Awards Dinner attracts over 1,000 attendees—including elected officials, labor leaders, entertainment executives, philanthropists, business owners, and activists, among others—and honors outstanding leaders who are working to transform the economy by fighting for working families. Past honorees and speakers at LAANE events include entertainment visionaries Jane Fonda, Sheryl Lee Ralph, and Modern Family; labor leaders April Verrett, John Grant, James P. Hoffa, and Ron Miller; business leaders such as AEG, Westfield, and Cordoba Corporation; as well as Billie Jean King, Vice President Kamala Harris, and many more.
