Make Things Better® is a grassroots movement founded by Kynda that exists to start a different story, a stronger alternative narrative. One that celebrates antidotes to the in-some-ways-near-crisis age we live in. And one that spreads the idea of a happier, safer, more hopeful, and more giving world.

The Make Things Better Fund is our financial commitment to the people and organizations who are actively, passionately, and consistently using their roles to drive change in the areas of education, creativity, equity, inclusion, and environmental stewardship.

Make Things Better® is for anyone exhausted by a weary world but unwilling to surrender to it. The world needs people like this—not perfect people, but attentive ones. Dave brings more than 11 years of experience in church communications, where he’s honed his skills in writing, leadership, and creative collaboration. He holds a communications degree from Calvin University and a Master’s in Media Studies from the University of North Texas, fueling his passion for exploring the connections between media and culture. Dave is a dedicated storyteller who enjoys seeing ideas come to life and celebrating the creativity of those around him. Outside of work, you’ll likely find him on the golf course, at the gym, playing team trivia, or planning a themed party with his friends (his favorite is “T Hanks Giving”, a Tom Hanks-inspired Thanksgiving party). He also loves movies, the Detroit Lions, and discovering new travel destinations.
